As a noncelebrity, my idea of mother/daughter bonding involves promises of my mom setting me up with her accountant's son while we share a plate of unlimited Olive Garden bread sticks. If you're Katy Perry, however, it involves mommy-and-me trips to celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Jason Diamond — and sheet masking in public.

The dynamic, moisturised duo hit Beverly Hills in matching sheet masks, and honestly, I'm a little impressed that they can move around without the damn things falling off. (I can't even get through an episode of Evil Genius without readjusting mine.)

Dr. Diamond also posted a video on Instagram to document the belated Mother's Day celebration. In it, Katy and her mom, Mary, wear matching shades and say a heartwarming round of "I love you"s that just might make you call your mom to do the same — sheet mask optional.
