I don't know about you, but I've always found it difficult to find a facial cleanser that strikes the perfect balance between being too harsh and too gentle. I want my cleanser to remove dirt, grime and residue, but I also don't want it to irritate and dry out my skin.
That's why I'm psyched about discovering Rare Earth Deep Pore Daily Cleanser from Kiehl's (£17.50). Since it contains fairly-traded white clay from the Amazon River, kaolin and bentonite, not only does it deep clean, but it also, refines and mattifies the skin for up to eight hours. The clay removes toxins and excess oil, and because of its slightly gritty texture, it also helps to exfoliate dead skin cells which in effect help keep your pores clean, open, purified and healthy — bellissima!
The cleanser is best suited for those who have normal to oily skin. Apply about a pence-sized dollop to your fingertips and gently massage it into your face in small circles. You'll notice that it foams a little bit too. I personally love that it washes off so easily, and afterward, my face feels really clean, naked and glowing. If I'm totally honest, it's a little more on the heavy side, so I alternate this with a more gentle cleanser every other day. What's your favourite deep-cleansing face wash?
