When it comes to re-creating '90s trends, some go cutesy and opt for a subtle, crimped look or add in an accent butterfly clip. Not Kristen Stewart. When the actress and Chanel spokeswoman pays homage to the greatest generation of beauty looks, she really goes for it. Seriously, this is a "Rihanna wearing a pope costume to the Met Gala" type sitch — and I am living.
If you recall, Kristen displayed a similar kind of sartorial chutzpah when she debuted frosted tips in Paris last Summer. This go around, she's back with a rat-tail — you know, the same tiny, dangling ponytail the boys in your homeroom would rock back in the day.
The controversial look is often dubbed "the worst hairstyle ever," but I'm super partial to the fashun way Kristen styled it on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet. Take a look for yourself ahead.
