Lipstick Queen Big Bang Illusion Gloss

Product Review: Lipstick Queen Big Bang Illusion Gloss

I've been carrying around my new Big Bang Illusion Gloss (£19.57) in Infinite for about a week now, and I think I'm finally acquainted enough to give you some straightforward feedback. This pain-free lip plumper launched in March and it contains what creator Poppy King refers to as "my exact ratio of shine to shimmer to create the illusion of fuller lips."

What I love about Big Bang is that it only creates the effect of a plumper, so you don't have to endure any painful prickles when it's applied. The texture is silky, as though it's more of a balm than a gooey gloss, yet it still delivers a high shine finish. Also, the tube is made from plastic, not glass, making it lightweight to carry around, and, it's completely fragrance free. I even blindfolded Mr. BellaUK, waived the wand under his nose and he still couldn't smell a thing! Lastly, because the cap is so small, you're getting about 25-30% more gloss in each tube compared to other leading brands — how's that for more product for your pound!

The only drawback is that the color is quite sheer. I guess this isn't necessarily negative, especially if you pair it over a one of their 90% pigment sinner lipsticks, however if you wear it alone, it doesn't make a massive impression.
