Last week in the posh May Fair Hotel, tanning expert James Reed (whose fabulous client list include Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey, Rosie Huntington Whiteley, and Paris Hilton) not only talked to me all about the new range of affordable self-tanning products from Little White Lie, but he also gave me one heck of a masterful spray tan using their products. I was actually the first person he ever sprayed with this new line and the results were amazing. I'm not too dark, not too light, but just right, which works out famously since I leave tomorrow for holiday by the sea.
Little White Lie is the spinoff brand of MakeBelieve Self-Tan Skincare and Enhance Makeup and is available at Boots. It's less expensive than MakeBelieve and is designed for a little bit younger audience (think teens to mid-20s). However, it goes beautifully with all of the other products, so you can absolutely mix and match everything. To touch up a few areas that my skinny jeans managed to smudge, I used the tanning lotion at home and that did the trick to smooth things over. Just after I applied the lotion, I blotted it with a tissue and that seemed to blend everything together well.
For photos of the Little White Lie range, and to hear all about what James and I gossipped about whilst I was in the buff (yes, that was super humbling), just keep reading.
What is the one tanning secret you can share to create the perfect self-tan? Layering and choosing the right colour. It's all about starting off light and making sure everything is blended well, then you can add more colour.
What's the most fun part of your job? I love being able to travel to New York, Miami and Los Angeles mostly with all of my clients. Although I can't talk about them, they are good fun and I get to see a lot!
What's next for you? Funny you should ask, I have a few really exciting things on tap for the next few months, but I'm not quite ready to reveal them yet!
