Lupita Nyong'o Basically Turned Herself Into an Oscar With Her Gold Beauty Look
Lupita Nyong'o has an Oscar (for 2014's 12 Years a Slave) and now, she is an Oscar. That's because the Black Panther actress and children's book author just wore a gold-on-gold beauty look to this year's ceremony that resembles the gilded silhouette. And predictably, Lupita looks perfect.
On the makeup side, I'm pretty sure Lupita's blinding gold highlighter can be viewed from the International Space centre — and I wouldn't want it any other way. She matched that glow with her shiny lip gloss, which has just the hint of bronze to pull the monochrome makeup look together. She contrasted it all with a turquoise eye shadow, which acted as a complimentary colour to her honey-tinted makeup.
On to the pièce de résistance of Lupita's winning look — her hair! Lupita had golden thread running through her natural strands. When seen paired with her beaded Versace gown, the gold-on-gold look was truly hypnotising.
