Exciting news coming out of the beauty world: MAC Cosmetics is joining forces with übercool label Proenza Schouler on a collaboration that's sure to be amazing. "I have always respected [designers] Jack [McCollough] and Lazaro [Hernandez]'s keen vision and point of view," James Gager, creative director and senior vice president of MAC Cosmetics, said. The collection will feature eyeliners, ombré face powders, lipsticks, lip pencils, nail laquers, and a powder brush.
And while there is no official word on what the collection will look like, MAC has teased that it will be inspired by one of Proenza Schouler's past collections and that the packaging will be extremely unique. "Beauty has always played a huge role in what we do on the runway, and MAC has been one of our biggest supporters," McCollough and Hernandez said in a statement. "We wanted to create something that the Proenza Schouler woman could relate to off the runway, and the MAC brand is so deeply rooted in fashion that we knew they would understand our vision." Expect the collection to drop April 2014.
