After amassing a colossal social media following, beauty influencer Manny MUA — née Manny Gutierrez — became the first-ever male ambassador for Maybelline New York. While he certainly has many accomplishments to be proud of, he still receives the occasional unsavoury comment online. In early January, a writer for Glenn Beck's The Blaze tweeted out a photo of Manny with the caption, "Dads, this is why you need to be there to raise your sons." Now, Manny's dad has some choice words for him.

Following the intolerant tweet, Manny hinted at the incident with an insightful tweet that read, "Being a man isn't about how 'tough' or 'masculine' you are." Moments later, Manny shared his dad's touching response directly addressed to the culprit, which he also asked Manny to share with his followers. He said, "Let me first begin by telling you that I've always been there for my son and will ALWAYS be there for him." Adding, "Not only am I proud of what he has accomplished but I'm more proud of the person he has become." Read his full message, below.

Along with CoverGirl's James Charles, Manny continues to lead the charge for male makeup artists and beauty enthusiasts. The fact that his tweet has since received over 12,000 retweets and 58,000 "likes" further proves the positive influence his career is having on his followers and the beauty industry at large.
