Marcia Cross [1] entertained us on the small screen for years on shows like Melrose Place and Desperate Housewives but recently has been staying out of the public eye. The actress just revealed an explanation for this: she's been battling cancer.
Although Cross is now in remission, she posted a photo on Instagram while getting her hair dyed, sporting a sad expression and revealing that her hair is about an inch long. She captioned the photo, "So grateful and happy to be alive but sad that my hair fell out . . . Anyone else have #hairloss due to #cancer? Talk to me. I feel you."
Many fans left their own stories of cancer hair loss in the comments as well as words of encouragement that her hair will grow back and they're happy she's healthy. The actress followed up with a post expressing how liberated she felt after opening up about her cancer and hair loss and hearing fellow survivors' stories.
