Meghan Markle [1] and Kate Middleton, sisters-in-law, fellow duchesses, and. . . best friends? That's what we'd like to think, and we particularly like to think they get ready together for special royal occasions. We're sure they've borrowed each others hairstylists [2], and they love the same fashion brands [3], and now, we think they might have shared the same makeup artist too.
On Wednesday, the two arrived at Buckingham Palace for a reception in honour of Prince Charles's 70th birthday [4] and although they arrived in separate cars, their makeup was elegant and very alike.
Middleton has taken a tip from Meghan and worn more bronzer than usual to warm up her complexion (in place of her usual rosy blush). She's also wearing a heavier swipe of highlighter to really give her a luminous glow. Whereas, Meghan replicated Kate's signature smoky eye with a lot less bronzer than normal, mimicking her sister-in-law's signature beauty look. They both finished with a pinky nude lip colour, and even wore similar statement earrings [5].
