Michelle Obama's Ombré Highlights Just Gave Us Our Summer Hair Inspiration

Michelle Obama stepped out at Essence Festival in New Orleans last weekend and debuted an all-new hairstyle that's giving us all the Summer hair colour inspiration we need. During a talk with Gayle King about her memoir, Becoming, the former first lady wore her hair with blond ombré highlights — and "wow" isn't even the word to describe our reactions upon seeing her new look for the first time.
The style, created by Yene Damtew, was a shoulder-length, tightly curled bob with darker roots that lightened up at the ends. It, of course, paired perfectly with the stunning, sparkly blue jumpsuit that Obama wore during her talk. Read ahead to see more photos of Obama's hair at Essence Festival.
