Heads Up: Tons of New Hair Products Are Coming to CVS

As POPSUGAR editors, we independently select and write about stuff we love and think you'll like too. If you buy a product we have recommended, we may receive affiliate commission, which in turn supports our work.

This year has been a big one for CVS. The drugstore chain began January with the promise to halt digital retouching in ads, and it's also amped up its K-beauty offerings to rival some ecommerce sites. Now, CVS has announced that it will expand its haircare selection by adding tons of new products to shelves.

Per WWD, CVS now sells the previously online-only eSalon Custom Hair colour Starter Kit ($16), which gives shoppers access to on-call colourists, tips for ordering the right dye, and a Precision Match Wheel that helps select certain shades.

Along with that, CVS will also be the only drugstore to sell brands like Bröö, which is made with handcrafted beer, and Göt2b Schwarzkopf, a colour collection. It will also add items that cater to those with textured hair, such as Curls Blueberry Bliss Leave-In Conditioner, Miss Jessie MultiCultural Styling Lotion, and Mane Choice Biotin Infused Styling Gel.

The store has changed its design and will now categorize types of products by shelf height. Temporary hair colours now live on the top shelves, and semipermanent or permanent items will go down below. Brand reps told WWD that they hope this new layout will allow customers to make more informed purchases. We can't predict the future, but we do foresee a trip to CVS in the very near future!
