Lucky FabSugar UK and I were able to get backstage after the 2010 Spring Paul Costelloe Fashion Show at the BFC Tent on Friday morning. As it was the first show at London Fashion Week, it kind of felt like the first day of school with people wandering around the new (and might I add beautiful) new Somerset House vast location.
The tents look relatively the same, however the backstage area is far more spacious which is great for primping. Head makeup artist Attracta Courtney used Clinique products for the show and told me, "Since the clothes were metallic, I wanted to create a really beautiful, feminine and modern St. Tropez type look with well moisturised skin and a pop of colour for Spring."
For find out what Clinique products Attracta used including application techniques, read more.
- FACE: Begin with clean, well moisturised skin. Then apply Airbrush Concealer under the eyes, foundation to match the skin tone to the face and neck and a touch of MAC Strobe Cream to the cheeks.
- EYES: Start by applying a generous amount of Quick Eye Cream Shadow in Sparkling Nude all over the lid. Next, add Truffle (a deeper brown) to the crease. These oyster shades a muted neutrals, but give eyes plenty of shimmer and definition. Finish with two to three coats of High Definition Lashes in black. Brows are simply brushed into place, but no pencil is necessary.
- CHEEKS: Add a light dusting of Quick Blush in Peach-in-a-Pinch (an apricot shade) to the apples of the cheeks for a little bit of subtle and healthy colour.
- LIPS: Lastly, apply High Impact Lip Colour SPF15 in Peach Pop all over lips and top with Superbalm Moisturising Gloss in Mango.
