Fans are used to seeing Perrie Edwards in a full face of glam on the red carpet, and the singer has gotten used to covering one of her more prominent facial features: her freckles. The Little Mix member posted a selfie on Instagram sans foundation, revealing a plethora of spots. She captioned the photo, "Growing up I was always insecure about the freckles on my face. Over the last couple of years I've started to embrace them and don't feel I need to hide them anymore."
Since posting the photo, fans have flooded the comments section in support of her self-love, mentioning how she's inspired them to do the same.
"Thank you for helping me love myself and my body, even at the worst of times with my bullying and anxiety you have been the biggest inspiration," one fan wrote. Others expressed how they too have learned to embrace their freckles: "I used to feel insecure about my freckles too and it's funny how many people would kill for (and even tattoo) for them." This isn't the first time Edwards has encouraged her fans to embrace their insecurities. In 2017, the singer posted a photo [3] of herself showing off her stomach scar and called on fans to show off their own scars.
We hope Edwards continues her self-love crusade and inspires even more people to do so, too.
