The term was coined by Garnier celebrity hair colourist Nikki Lee, who has transformed the hair of Lea Michelle, Hilary Duff, and Selena Gomez. She described the hue as "a shiny Christmas present," and explained that it's a "one tone, single-process colour," meaning there are no highlights involved.
