On Thursday, Rihanna shared a photo from her birthday celebration earlier this week, and it. was. popping. We're talking a ROYGBIV colour palate from her blue eye shadow all the way down to each of her nails. The 31-year-old superstar took a french manicure and gave it the ultimate remix with layered glitter and pastel colours, even making her unicorn piñata look plain. How's that for a birthday manicure?
According to Refinery29, Rihanna linked up with her go-to nail artist, Maria Salandra, for her festive look because, as expected, "she wanted something fun." Rihanna might've been in the presence of a professional, but the idea was all hers. "She wanted something a little more pastel on the nail itself and complementary colours that would go together. And then she came up with glitter on the nails. We were just making it up as we went along," Salandra said. "It reminded her of Skittles, and she just loved it." And we can absolutely taste the rainbow, Rihanna.
