While we were expecting Rihanna [1] to show up to the launch of Body Lava [2], Fenty Beauty's new all-over luminiser, dripping in shimmering gold, we did not predict that the hue would end up on her lips. After all, the "Wild Thoughts" singer loves rocking a power red lipstick (such as Fenty's own Lip Stunna [3]).
However, Rihanna pulled a fast one on us and swiped metallic bronze on her pout. And even though, technically, Ri wasn't wearing a drop of lipstick, we can guarantee her mouth just made gold the it hue for Summer.
The look was done courtesy of Priscilla Ono [5], Fenty's global makeup artist and Rihanna's right-hand beauty guru. Priscilla began by swiping on a coat of Ri's favourite product [6], the universally-flattering Gloss Bomb [7] (£16), all over the mogul's lips.
Here's where things get fun. Instead of applying a normal bullet or paint, Priscilla applied Match Stix Shimmer Stickstix in Rum [8] (£21). This cream luminiser is truly multi-purpose [9]: it can be used to highlight, contour, flush, and even find the lost jewellery at the bottom of your purse (true story, we swear [10]). Guess we can add "lipstick" to the ever-growing list of skills on Match Stix's CV!
