Serena Williams, it seems, is not content with being an international tennis champion. She also wants to be a beauty expert! The sports star told People Magazine this week that she's training to become a professional nail technician.
Apparently she's enrolled in a 240 hour training course in Florida, where she studies for 12 hours a day, several times a week. She says she signed up to the course because she's loved doing nails since she was a little girl, and adds that her favourite nail colours are red, pink and yellow.
I'm a fan of Serena Williams. She always embraces bright colours and takes risks when she's playing tennis on the courts.
I also admire her learning a new skill. For nail salon addicts, learning something like this is also a great way to save money. There are lots of courses offer in the U.K. Aveda offers blow-dry lessons at its Holborn Salon and similarly Jemma Kidd offers makeup tutorials. Have you ever taken a beauty course?
