My grandma passed away my junior year of high school. A month before she passed, she left me a voicemail wishing me happy birthday. Today I got that exact waveform tattooed across my heart, and I am able to play it just by holding my camera over it❤️❤️ pic.twitter.com/nwoQ2Bn1DM [1]

A young woman's tattoo of a voicemail waveform [3] is going viral for the sweetest reason. Singer Sakyrah Angelique, or s.o.s [4], shared a video of her new tattoo on Twitter, explaining that her grandmother passed away her junior year of high school, but left her a voicemail wishing her a happy birthday a month before she passed. The young woman got the tattoo across her heart, signifying that some of her grandmother's last words will always be with her.

The video of the unique tattoo is going viral not only because of its heartwarming backstory, but also because it has a surprising feature: the voicemail audio can actually be played thanks to an app that can read the waveform aloud. Sakyrah shared a photo of the tattoo on Instagram [7] and explained, "Thanks to a new company called Skin Motion [8], I am able to play her voicemail when I hold my camera over the tattoo. Her voice will forever be across my heart. Big thank you to @s.ryder_tattoos [9] for the tattoo." In the video above, you can her Sakyrah's grandmother say, "I love you. Happy Birthday."

What an incredible way to carry memories of a loved one close to you forever. We're not crying; you're crying!
