Whether you have acne-prone skin or the occasional hormonal outbreak, we all know what getting a huge spot can do to confidence, especially before a big event. And while spot treatments may work well for some, for others they worsen the spots or, in my case, leave scarring. Once you've figured out what type of spot you have and are ready to treat it without using toothpaste, it's time to tackle it head on (pardon the pun). This is where spot stickers will become your (invisible) hero.
The stickers contain acne-fighting ingredients such as salicylic acid and tea tree to help kill the bacteria in the spot whilst ensuring it doesn't spread onto other areas of the face. As well as this, the dots reduce inflammation and redness to ultimately heal the blemish faster. I use the Peter Thomas Roth spot stickers every time I have a spot. I tend to know what a blemish looks and feels like before it is fully formed, so I apply a sticker after my evening skincare routine, just before getting into bed. Eighty percent of the time, the spot is completely gone when I wake up and stays gone. If it is a hormonal spot, it can be a bit trickier to shift, however, I will apply a dot every night until the spot fades and find it drastically reduces inflammation and redness.
