Temperley London Shows the Most Ladylike Way to Wear Blue Liner
Usually we think electric blue eyeliner is reserved for teenagers or the pages of editorials, but the Temperley London Fall 2014 runway showed us a realistic (and age-appropriate) way to wear the bright color. Lisa Eldridge used Sunday Riley makeup shades to create the peacock-blue design. An angular, graphic shape covered the outer edges of the top lid, while the bottom lash line was accented with a darker navy hue. To make sure this liner look didn't get too gaudy, Eldridge selected a peach lip color reminiscent of Catherine Deneuve.
It looks like the braid trend from New York has also made its way to the London catwalks. Lead hairstylist Malcolm Edwards with Moroccanoil created a bohemian double plait. "The hair is both youthful and playful — simplistic with a little detail of interest," he said in a release. The first acted as a headband across the crown that flowed into the second side braid. The sides were left loose and curled to frame the face. Edwards finished the style with a few spritzes of Glimmer Shine spray ($27). This is one hairstyle that is going on top of our DIY list.
