Too Faced Born This Way Super Coverage Concealer Review

This Too Faced Concealer Blurs My Under-Eye Circles Better Than Any Photo-Editing App

Maybe it's the heavyweight bottle. Maybe it's the black, bold-faced, all-caps text that Too Faced used on its face to describe what it does. Whatever it is, there's something about the Too Faced Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-Use Sculpting Concealer ($29) that just screams it means business.

My complexion is typically clear, and my biggest concern with it is the hyperpigmentation under my eyes and in areas where I've had a breakout (it never fails that whenever I get a pimple, I develop a dark spot). I typically gravitate toward high-coverage concealers, but I have never met one that was as high-impact as this one.

With its jumbo doe-foot, I swept a shade that was closest to my skin tone onto my darkened areas and slightly red, irritated areas and quickly found out how creamy and opaque this concealer was. It's safe to say a little goes a long way, because when I'd used one of my favourite sponges to blend it out, it took a little more effort than usual. Once I hid my dark spots, I grabbed two more shades — one highlighting and one bronzing — and began contouring my face.

The end result was like what you'd get from Facetune — a sculpted face with a completely even complexion. It blurs imperfections with one just one layer and has a skin-like finish. Even with how full-coverage the formula is, this concealer does not crease.

Basically, Too Faced packed the power of a photo-editing app in a tube. Genius.
