Designers have been heading to the beach for their hair inspiration this Spring. All over the place at New York Fashion Week tousled, windswept locks were being worn either loosely tied back, or free flowing and wavy. Yesterday Michael Kors unveiled his Summer collection to a fanfair of celebrity devotees. The show included a slew of bronzed beach babes with artfully tousled hair created by hair guru Orlando Pita using Bumble and Bumble's texturising Surf Spray (£18.50).
Then there was Thakoon's show which featured models strutting with tousled long locks created by Frederic Fekkai stylist Dedier Malige. Before them Charlotte Ronson rocked a 1990s grunge vibe with a new age beach traveller look accentuated by small boho plaits run through models' hair.
The central theme seems to be texture, and lots of it. The look is also enhanced by simple naturally bronzed skin and very simple makeup. Will you be a tousled beach babe in Spring?
