We're into Day Five already of New York Fashion Week and trends are already becoming apparent. So far, it looks like we'll be seeing buns ladies, and lots of them. And no, not that kind — the hair kind! Neat medium height buns ruled the Donna Karan runway, whilst intricate and more formal buns were apparent at the Monique Lhuillier show. A messy version of a high bun was seen at Vivienne Tam, but mostly, I'm seeing high slicky, high buns this coming A/W.
At the VPL by Victoria Bartlett show, models had their hair parted in the back, but it all came together in a neat coil at the crown. At Guishem, ladies walked the runway with a frizzified high-top hairstyle and at Cushnie Et Ochs a long feather accessorised the bun. This style is perfect for the kind of windy, rainy and snowy weather that Winter brings which makes me a big fan. I'm not sure I'll be flaunting a feather, but I do dig a bun. Do you favour this hairdo?
