Dry shampoo, your days are numbered. Until now, I've had to wash my hair every other day. There was no way around it; I've tried every shampoo and conditioner on the market but my diva 'do requires a frequent scrub — and she'll show it. But that was before I discovered Umberto Giannini Shower in a Bottle (£7). The foam hair cleanser is a new take on shampoo-skipping, and I've welcomed it into my (newly-shortened) routine with open arms.

I find dry shampoos can be rather messy (especially in any brown hue), as well as feeling chalky. Plus, the results tend to be fairly short-lasting. Umberto Giannini's liquid foam cuts out all of these product downfalls, as long as you make sure to rub it in well and let it dry fully. It may seem a little contradictory to use a wet product on dry hair, but it's worth committing. The product suggests using a ping pong ball-sized amount, and rubbing it directly into your roots, massaging until it dries. Like dry shampoo, my suggestion would be to apply this the night before to see the full effect. Unlike dry shampoo however, you'll wake with shower-clean hair, free from dustiness!
