Zoë Kravitz is about to become more than just the face of Yves Saint Laurent Beauté — she's officially a collaborator on a new beauty collection coming in September 2019.
Kravitz teased the latest project of hers on Instagram [1], captioned "ME + YSL BEAUTÉ! STAY TUNED FOR MORE, SEPTEMBER 1ST" 💋", which featured a video of the Big Little Lies actor. The gorgeous short film, directed by Fabien Constant, shows Kravitz dressed in all black with a bold red lip, stirring up some red liquid in a cooking pan.
Although Kravitz has been the face of YSL Beauté since 2017 — starring in campaigns for the brand's Black Opium Fragrance, for example — she's never had a hand in creating products of her own. But now, she's the first global ambassador to launch her own beauty collection with the brand. The YSL Beauté x Zoë Kravitz collection includes six new shades of lipstick (three reds and three neutrals) with three different finishes (satin, matte, and shimmer satin). "I've been working with YSL Beauté for a while now, and I really wanted to get more involved and more creative. This collection is for anyone who wants to be playful; anyone who wants to express themselves," Kravitz said in a press release.
