Ana de Armas just debuted the trendy French bob haircut you've been seeing all over Instagram lately, and the style looks like it was made for her. The actor debuted her new look on Jan. 17 in a YouTube video posted on Limara Meneses's channel. In the clip, De Armas looks right at home in her new chin-grazing bob hairstyle and choppy bangs.

Having previously had a medium-length layered hairstyle, the short chop is no doubt a big change for De Armas, but it might be just what she needed after the tumultuous year we had. Over the last 12 months, many people have opted for a big change by the way of a new haircut, including celebrities like Demi Lovato and her pink pixie cut, Keke Palmer and her chic mullet, and Chrissy Teigen with the famous Rachel cut.

While many are speculating the cut was inspired by a recent (ahem, high profile) breakup, there are plenty of reasons people might opt for a drastic hair change, from a major life change to boredom to a desire to take back control in one's life.
