In Anne-Marie's music video for "Don't Play" — her latest track featuring KSI and Digital Farm Animals — the singer gets to put her fighting prowess on display (turns out, she holds three Shotokan karate championship titles). But Anne-Marie's not the only person who got to show off their skills in the video. Her makeup artist, Mona Leanne, created an incredible graphic eye-makeup look for the occasion using Swarovksi crystals and smudgy black eye shadow, and it's truly a work of art.
"Loved creating this graphic @swarovski encrusted makeup for @annemarie in her fab new music vid Don't Play 💎 ", Mona Leanne wrote in the caption of her Instagram post of the makeup look — a post that we're so glad exists. In the video, which shows Anne-Marie getting trained by KSI for a kickboxing fight, you only get a very quick glimpse of the look up close, which also includes a high braided ponytail courtesy of hairstylist Kim Roy. Mona Leanne's behind-the-scenes snap gives us the opportunity to see the graphic design in utmost detail.
To create the look, Mona Leanne used clear, black, and grey Swarovski crystals of various different sizes, arranging them in swirls that extended from the outer corners of her eyes up along her temples and even continuing up into her hairline. She also added a few along the inner corners of the eyes, creating an outline of the smudgy black shadow that was applied to Anne-Marie's lids.
You can see the look in all its glory in the photo above, and then watch the full video below.
