Auli'i Cravalho's system for transforming into Princess Ariel is royally impressive. The 18-year-old voice of Moana graced our TV screens on Tuesday night for ABC's live production of The Little Mermaid [3], and aside from her impressive vocals, we couldn't help but notice how she nailed the signature Ariel look. Her gorgeous red wig and perfectly-placed purple flower made way for an on-point princess experience — even before she put her tail on!
Cravalho's glam team kept her makeup quite natural for the performance [4], and let the famous red hair speak for itself. They fully complete her eye look before moving on to a wig cap, spray paint, and many, many bobby pins to keep the wig in place. The result? Something straight out a fairytale.
