You Can Now Buy a Barbie Doll With Perfectly Styled Baby Hairs

Barbie has switched up her style many a time over the last six decades, but one of her latest looks is an homage to a huge style trend in the Black community. As part of a new collection recently released by Mattel, Barbie now comes with perfectly laid baby hairs [1].

The newly made-over doll is part of Mattel's BMR1959 collection, which features several dolls dressed in fashions that are all inspired by popular street trends. Aside from the baby hairs, the doll also wears pink and purple hair styled in three high buns, large gold earrings, a two-piece orange skirt set, yellow sneakers, and an oversize houndstooth blazer.

The brand revealed the new dolls in an Instagram post [2] shared on June 25. "So fresh. So clean. So #Barbie," the caption reads. "This second collection in the #BMR1959 line celebrates Barbie's fashion heritage by drawing inspiration from today's hottest streetwear trends. Which look is your favourite?"
