The Best New Beauty Products Launching in the UK in August 2020

29/08/2020 - 06:05 AM

In recent years, the beauty industry has grown exponentially, with new launches, lines, and collaborations coming at us in rapid succession. Every casual scroll through your Instagram feed presents you with new beauty products being revealed, and let's not even get started with all those targeted ads you never asked to see. So if you're someone who loves beauty, how do you keep track of all of the latest and greatest? And more specifically, how do you know which items you can buy in the UK (without paying exorbitant shipping fees, that is)? Well, that's where we come in. Every month, we round up the most exciting launches coming to the UK, from classic brands to indie newcomers [1] and all the creams, sprays, and conditioners in between.

August 2020 is not like every other month, however. We are into our fifth month of the coronavirus pandemic, with lockdown restrictions simultaneously loosening up and being reinstated depending on where you live the UK [2]. And whilst most shops have opened and the government is eager to get people back out and about [3], social-distancing measures and new safety-and-sanitation regulations mean the in-store shopping experience will look and feel very different [4] than before COVID-19. Couple that with the fact that many people are out of work or still furloughed and high-risk individuals still need to self-isolate, and rushing out and buying new beauty products — in-store or online — probably isn't at the top of a majority of people's priority lists right now.

But for some people, beauty (and, by extension, beauty products) may act as a distraction or a way to maintain some semblance of normalcy right now (a phenomenon known as the "lipstick effect" [5]). And many brands — in addition to donating products to NHS workers [6] and using their production lines to make hand sanitiser [7] — are continuing to try to roll out new products for anyone who is interested or has the ability to buy. Keep reading to check out the newness — even if it's just to do some virtual window shopping from your living room.

Strivectin Multi-Action Super-C Retinol Brigthen & Correct Serum

In the past, vitamin C and retinol [8] — two superstar skincare ingredients — have not played nicely together. Whilst you could incorporate both into your skincare regimen (and see great results doing so, we might add), you've historically had to be very strategic about when you use them throughout the day or week, and apply with caution, or else end up with a very irritated face.

That's no longer the case, however, with brands finding ways to include both ingredients into one very hard-working formula. Case in point: launching this month is the Strivectin Multi-Action Super-C Retinol Brigthen & Correct Serum [9] (£62), a serum that contains retinol and two forms of vitamin C (plus acerola cherry, which contains a high amount of natural vit C) to leave skin feeling firmer, lines appearing softer, and your complexion looking brighter and more even in tone. And because it's Strivectin, this powerhouse serum also includes the brand's signature ingredient, a proprietary form of Niacin, to help strengthen and nourish your skin.

La Mer Concentrate Serum

You might be scratching your head right now wondering why on earth La Mer's bestselling face serum is on the "new" list. It's because this month, the iconic line-smoothing, skin-plumping serum got an upgrade. With the addition of a new proprietary complex the brand calls its "Lime Tea Concentrate," the classic La Mer Concentrate Serum [10] (£165) now has additional skin-protecting benefits by creating a barrier against destructive free radicals floating around in the air. Caused by things like pollution, cigarette smoke, and UV rays, free radicals wreak havoc on your skin, causing inflammation and damage, which results in fine lines, dullness, and dark spots. This serum now works extrahard at reducing all those things.

BeautyStat Universal C Skin Refiner

American beauty editors have long relied on cosmetic chemist Ron Robinson and his vast knowledge of ingredients and product formulations to help with their stories (including the one writing this sentence right now). Robinson has developed products for major companies like Clinique, Estée Lauder, Revlon, Avon, and L'Oréal, and in 2019, he finally shifted gears to start his own brand called BeautyStat. The debut product? BeautyStat Universal C Skin Refiner [11] (£96), and it's officially arrived in the UK via Cult Beauty this month.

After being introduced to a new encapsulation technology that allowed him to better stabilise vitamin C (a notoriously finicky ingredient) and patenting it, Robinson was able to create a serum that contains 20 percent L-ascorbic acid that's delivered at full strength from the first to the very last drop (so the vitamin C won't degrade over time). A stabler form of the ingredient means the serum should brighten, firm, and improve skin texture better than your average vitamin C ingredient, and do all that without any irritation, even for those of us prone to sensitivity, according to the brand.

Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Eye Base

Launching on 6 Aug., Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Eye Base [12] (£34) is inspired by the brand's iconic Vitamin Enriched Face Base — a jar of which apparently sells every minute globally, according to the brand.

Like your morning cappuccino, the new eye cream promises to perk up your undereyes — hydrating, brightening, and priming the area all in one go. The silky cream layers beautifully under makeup and contains caffeine (for firming and depuffing), hyaluronic acid (for moisturising), and vitamins B, C , and E, which together help brighten the area both immediately and over time.

Björk and Berries Trio of Face Oils

On 16 Aug., Swedish skincare brand, Björk and Berries, introduces a trio of face oils, each of which feature oils extracted from some of the most potent berries found in the brand's native country.

In the range there's Sea Bucktorn + Algae Instant Glow Face Oil [13] (£46), which promises loads of hydration; Raspberry + Bakuchiol Firming Face Oil [14] (£49), which includes vitaman E, omega 3 fatty acids, and a natural form of retinol to leave skin looking smoother and firmer; and finally the gorgeous cerulean-coloured Blueberry + Blue Tansy Restoring Face Oil [15] (£57), which helps calm redness and inflammation in the skin.

Augustinus Bader The Face Oil

Victoria Beckham [16]'s favourite skin-care range is on a roll this year. The brand has launched new products right and left — a serum and primer (in collaboration with VB [17] no less), a hand cream, and a cleansing oil — all featuring Bader's proprietary TFC8 ingredient (i.e. the Trigger Factor Complex), which the brand claims is made up of over 40 different ingredients including vitamins, peptides, and amino acids and allegedly activates stem cells in your skin, encouraging them to go into healing mode.

This month, the brand introduces three new items into the range, including the Augustinus Bader The Face Oil [18] (£180), which hits virtual shelves on 19 August. Lightweight and fast-absorbing, like all items in the range, the oil contains the TFC8 complex, as well as a very specific assortment of oils. Babassu oil strengthens the skin's lipid barrier; cold-pressed argan oil is rich in essential fatty acids and linoleic acid that, together, help prevent your skin from losing moisture; hazelnut oil is also rich in omega fatty acids, while karanja oil is both soothing to the skin and full of flavanoids, which are rich in antioxidant activity that protect the skin.

Fresh Limited Edition Rose Face Mask

Fresh's hydrating and calming Rose Face Mask is one of those iconic skin-care products beloved by beauty editors on either side of the Atlantic, and this month, it gets a gorgeous update to celebrate the formula's 20 year anniversary.

The Fresh Limited Edition Rose Face Mask [19] (£52) features a whimsical watercolour design created by California-based designer and illustrator Jayde Cardinalli [20], a favourite artist of Gucci's creative director, Alessandro Michele. Cardinalli's rose design features voluminous roses tucked amongst lush, green leaves, evoking the skin-soothing mask's star ingredient: real rose petals (as well as rosewater, cucumber extract, aloe vera gel, and algae extract). "I love the juxtaposition of a rose — it has this beautiful but dangerous thing going on," Cardinalli said via press release. "I wanted the packaging to have this wild, lush feel, which reflects the mask's silky, soothing, flower-infused texture."

Bioderma Photoderm Spot-Age SPF 50+

When it comes to sunscreens for the face [21], we rate many of Bioderma's formulas, which is why we're excited to try the new Bioderma Photoderm Spot-Age SPF 50+ [22] (£16.50). The new facial SPF offers some serious broad-spectrum UV protection (four different kinds of UV filters, to be exact), vitamin C (which helps reduce the risk of immediate hyperpigmentation), and centella asiatica (aka tiger grass, which helps soothe the the skin and reduce inflammation). The fact it's sweat resistant and noncomedogenic is just icing on the cake.

Dermalogica Hydro Masque Exfoliant

Launching on 20 Aug. is the Dermalogica Hydro Masque Exfoliant [23] (£55) is a 2-in-1 treatment that helps exfoliate and hydrate in just five minutes. Is it magic? No, just a supersmart formulation that contains bamboo (a chemical exfoliant), as well as a slew of hydrators like snow mushroom (a humectant that helps deliver and lock in moisture), phytolipids, sugar beets, and cucumber extract. Apply the mask like a cleanser, massaging it over your face until the tiny scrubbing spheres disappear. Then let it sit on your skin for three-to-five minutes, rinse, and follow up with moisturiser.

Huda Beauty Wishful Honey Balm Jelly Moisturizer

Since launching back in TK, Huda Kattan has been gradually rounding out her Wishful skincare range, starting with a scrub, following with a sheet mask, cleansing balm, and now, adding a gel-textured face cream to the mix. The Huda Beauty Wishful Honey Balm Jelly Moisturizer [24] (£43) — which launches on the brand's website on 6. Aug and at additional online retailers like Cult Beauty on 21 Aug. — is a honey-infused moisturiser promising dewy, plump, and glowy skin.

Suitable for all skin types, according to the brand, the jelly-like formula features honey, turmeric, niacinamide, and crushed (and ethically-sourced) lavender mica pearls to ensure you are left with otherworldly, luminous-looking skin after applying it — something one of the POPSUGAR beauty editors definitely noticed [25] after trying it (her skin was so radiant, she could even skin highlighter).

111Skin The Facial Edit by Joanna Czech

Aesthetician Joanna Czech is revered among celebrities who flock to her for her magical hands, expert knowledge, and (very) honest skin-care advice. Christy Turlington Burns, Carey Mulligan [26], Cate Blanchett [27], and Uma Thurman [28] are just a few A-listers who are regular and long-time clients.

Another thing to know about Czech? She doesn't put her stamp of approval on products easily, so the fact she's collaborated with 111Skin on a skin-care kit is big big beauty news. The 111Skin The Facial Edit by Joanna Czech [29] (£200) features four of Dr. Yannis Alexandrides' treatment masks, as well as Czech's facial massager, which is the closest us non-Hollywood stars will get to experiencing her cheekbone-lifting facials.

The Nue Co. The Pill

Known for their vitamins, probiotics, and powder supplements, wellness brand debuts their first "topical supplement" in the form of a serum. The Nue Co. The Nue Co. The Pill [30] (£65) contains 27 high-potency, active ingredients that the company claims gives your skin everything it needs in one daily dose — from exfoliating and hydrating, to calming down inflammation.

The serum took two years to create and promises to improve your skin in 30-60 days. It contains a laundry list of familiar, and maybe not-so-familiar skincare ingredients: There's caffeine and bilberry extract to reduce surface inflammation and tighten the skin. For hydration, there's hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and sodium PCA. And to brighten, smooth, and resurface the skin, the serum relies on a blend of plant-derived AHAs that produce lactic, glycolic, citric, malic, and tartaric acids.

The Ordinary 100% Niacinamide Powder

For people who spend hours on Reddit's Skincare Addiction thread, and who are really into ingredients and formulations, The Ordinary 100% Niacinamide Powder [31] (£5) offers what is probably an exciting opportunity to DIY [32] your own serum. For people who don't want to faff around and simply want to slap on your skincare and go, this powder is definitely not for you.

If you're still reading and haven't kept scrolling, then you already know the inflammation-reducing, tone-evening, line-smoothing benefits of niacinamide. Comprised of niacinamide and zinc, this powder allows you to personalise any "non-conflicting serum" (which, according to the brand are water-based serums or creams with a pH between 5.0 and 7.0), based on personal preference. Just combine a quarter scoop of the provided spoon with your serum or cream, mix it in the palm of your hand, and apply as usual.

Filorga Lift-Structure Radiance Rosy-Glow Fluid

The Filorga Lift-Structure Radiance Rosy-Glow Fluid [33] (£67) is one part cosmetics — it provides an immediate glow to the skin thanks to illuminating pearlescent particles, goji berry extract that boosts cell function, and a trio of actives that neutralise any grey, yellow, or red tones in your skin — and one part serious skin-care product. As all of the products in the brand's Lift-Structure range, this luminising fluid contains ingredients that help to plump and firm the skin over time.

Soap & Glory Scrub In the Fast Lane 2 Minute Facial Polish & Peel

We could all use a little pick-me-up this month — both for our skin and for our moods — and the new Soap & Glory Scrub In the Fast Lane 2 Minute Facial Polish & Peel [34] (£10) will at least help with the latter. Both a chemical and a physical exfoliator, this formula leaves skin feeling smoother and looking glowier in just two minutes. Massage the scrub over your face for 30 seconds, allowing the little scrubbing granules do their thing. Then, leave it on for two minutes, which is when the salicylic and lactic acids get to work to leave you with skin as soft as a baby's bum.

Institut Esthederm Vitamin C Gel-Cream

With a super lightweight texture, the Institut Esthederm Vitamin C Gel-Cream [35] (£64) is the perfect hydrator for when it's hot and/or humid outside. Spiked with vitamin C and three different types of hyaluronic acid, the formula promises to reduce the appearance of dark spots, help brighten your complexion, keeping it soft and moisturised at the same time.

Tanologist Body Beam Bronzing Drops

Available in two shades — Bronze and Extra Bronze — the Tanologist Body Beam Bronzing Drops [36] (£13) can be incorporated into your beauty routine in a variety of ways. Apply the shimmering liquid directly to cheekbones and the high-points of the face for a summery highlight. Mix it into your foundation to up the glow factor of your base of choice, or add it to your face or body cream to use it like temporary body bronzer. And while the formula is hydrating (it contains a blend of oils including calendula and juniper berry), it's also transfer-proof, so you don't have to worry about it getting on your clothes or coming off on your hands if you accidentally touch your face.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Pen

Anastasia Beverly Hills is a brand that was founded on brows. Founder and makeup artist Anastasia Soare groomed the arches of many a '90s supermodel, taking her expertise and transforming it into a beauty line with a collection of gorgeous brow-groomers. The new Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Pen [37] (£23), which launched 10 Aug., is actually the second felt-tip brow pen the brand has launched, the first of which got discontinued. "We had a brow pen years ago, but the colour science and technology were not advanced enough at the time and we found the shades would oxidise," Soare told POPSUGAR. "Fast-forward to now, and we have perfected the formula and created a wide range of shades."

With nine shades, a steadfast formula, and the finest tip we've seen on a brow product, the new-and-improved ABH Brow Pen is worth investing in — especially if you have naturally sparse brows. The pen allows you to create precise, hair-like strokes that you can eventually build up to look like full, feathery arches. Just take a look at one beauty writer's mind-blowing before and after photos [38] after giving the pen a go.

Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Push Up Lashes Mascara

"Why did I create this? Why does the world need another mascara?" makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury said over Zoom for the virtual launch event of her new Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Push Up Lashes Mascara [39] (£23). "I wanted something that was universally flattering, which is very much the world of Pillow Talk. I wanted something glossy and healthy, not crumbly and dry, and I wanted something that really holds lashes up without that concrete-y feeling." And it appears Tilbury has done just that, POPSUGAR associate editor, Tori Crowther, discovered after testing it out [40]. The light-as-air formula really extends and stretches out lashes, adds volume, and keeps lashes lifted and curled for hours and hours. The paddle brush-shaped wand takes some getting used to, but it's the secret behind your lashes looking long and fluffy, minus any clumping.

Pat McGrath Labs Lip Fetish Divinyl Lip Shine

The new Pat McGrath Labs Lip Fetish Divinyl Lip Shine [41] (£28 each) has had a pretty epic debut. The ultra high-shine, ultra tinted lip balm formula was first used on the models featured in the video [42] for the Maison Margiela Artisanal autumn 2020 couture show (major, as McGrath would say). Then, makeup artist Erika La'Pearl used it on Cardi B not only the Divinyl Lip Shine in Nude Venus for the WAP single cover, but also for the video [43] itself.

The innovative supershiny hydrating formula comes in six shades: Nude Venus, Boudoir Rosé, Electric Lotus, Belle Amour, Temptress, and Love Interest, and launches online at both Selfridge's and the brand's website this month.

Stila Kaleidoscope Eye Shadow Duo

In the pan, the two powders in the Stila Kaleidoscope Eye Shadow Duo [44] (£28) — part of the brand's autumn Bohemian Renaissance collection — look like your everyday metallic shades. But dip your finger or brush into the ultra-velvety pigments and you'll see that these are some of the most multi-dimensional metallic powders you've ever laid eyes on. Incredibly creamy, the shadows spread over lids effortlessly, while the iridescent flecks of glitter stay put on your lids, without the grittiness and fallout of traditional powder-based glitter shadows. And while the pigments are sparkly, they're still incredibly wearable for everyday. Choose from two different shades: Classic Cashmere (which includes a shimmering taupe and soft bronze) and Velveteen Dream (which includes an iridescent gold and warm copper colour, shown here).

L'Oréal Paris Brilliant Signature Lip Ink - Wild Nudes Collection

L'Oréal Paris's Brilliant Signature Lip Ink is not only loaded with pigment, but also features a glossy finish that is so high shine, it almost looks like vinyl on your lips. For August, the brand takes the shine to another level with the L'Oréal Paris Brilliant Signature Lip Ink Wild Nudes collection [45] (£11 each), a selection of nine new shimmery shades. Exclusive to Superdrug, the colours range from a twinkly beige (Be Feline) and sparkly mulberry (Untamed), to bolder offerings like a glittery cherry (Be Unexpected) and shimmery brick red (Be Fiery), shown here.

Fenty Beauty Pro Kiss'r Luscious Lip Balm Shade Additions

Sure, all the hype this month is about Rihanna [46]'s Fenty Skin launch [47] (and rightly so, the products are major), but that doesn't mean the beauty mogul has slowed down created some very cool cosmetics. On 13 Aug., the brand adds three new, easy-to-wear shades of its Fenty Beauty Pro Kiss'r Luscious Lip Balm [48] (£15 each): Cocoa Drizzle (a pink-tinged deep taupe, shown here), Latte Lips (a muted peachy-pink), and Pinch Me (a medium rosy-pink).

Neighbourhood Botanicals Dear Diary Lip Balm

Packaged in an adorable and whimsical tin, the Neighbourhood Botanicals Dear Diary Lip Balm [49] (£15) is inspired by the '90s (can't you tell?), even featuring a strawberry bubblegum scent (although it's much more sophisticated and subtle than the lip balms we slathered all over our lips in secondary school). The formula is also way more luxurious than anything we used as teenagers. Natural, vegan, and cruelty-free, the silky balm is made up of jojoba oil, shea butter, rice bran, and castor oil, as well as a plant-derived form of glycerin.

Dr. Hauschka Colour Correcting Powder

Now, those who prefer natural and organic cosmetics can get into the colour-correcting game. The new Dr. Hauschka Colour Correcting Powder [50] (£25 each) comes in three different variants: There's Translucent, which utilises soft green and yellow tones to both brighten and neutralise redness on fair and pale skin tones; there's Activating, which contains apricot, purple tones, and soft pink tones to do the same for medium and dark skin tones; and then there's Calming, which is made up of sage green, banana yellow, and light blue pigments to help counteract sallowness on fair and medium skin tones.

Coco & Eve Deep Clean Scalp Scrub

When Coco & Eve's Super Nourishing Coconut and Fig Hair Masque is a favourite of the POPSUGAR UK editors [51], so when the brand announced they'd be launching a scalp scrub this month, we were very intrigued.

The new Coco & Eve Deep Clean Scalp Scrub [52] (£37) is both a physical and chemical exfoliator for your scalp. The gel — which smells like peppermint and is the colour of mint ice cream — contains coconut shell powder to mechanically remove any dry skin flakes lingering at your roots, as well as a mix of alpha and beta hydroxy acids that help break down any dead skin cells hanging about. But in addition to leaving you with a soothed (thanks to the peppermint oil), flake-free, and squeaky-clean scalp, it also helps absorb excess oil, leaving you with more volume along the hairline and at the roots.

GHD Rise Volumising Hot Brush

If the new GHD Rise Volumising Hot Brush [53] (£169) is anything like the brand's best-selling, frequently sold out Glide Straightening Brush [54], then anyone who blow-dries their hair at home — or who struggles with blow-drying their hair at home — is in for a treat. Delivering a consistent temperature of 185 degrees, the electric round brush features a 32mm barrel with nylon bristles that together make it incredibly easy to dry and smooth your hair in a way that gives you tons of volume — no faffing around with different nozzles or juggling both blow dryer and round brush. It's especially ideal if you have layers or a long fringe.

Khali Min Clean Cream

When Khali Min, a women-founded brand with roots in both Egypt and England, launched its Rescue Oil for the hair and scalp, it quickly became a favourite amongst editors and beauty connoisseurs. This month, the brand introduced its second product, the Khali Min Clean Cream [55] (£25), which came out of the desire to create a naturally scented, silicone-free leave-in conditioner (the brand name translates to "free from" in Arabic actually). The luxurious formula is made up of superhydrating ingredients like rosehip oil, aloe, murumuru butter, and broccoli seed oil, the latter of which makes strands feel silky without needing silicone.

Oribe Invisible Defense Universal Protection Spray

The new Oribe Invisible Defense Universal Protection Spray [56] (£39.50) is a heat-protector in every sense of the word. Spray it in your hair before using any hot tools and it will protect your strands from getting singed, overly dry, and faded. Or, use it before heading to the beach to keep the hot sun from doing the same thing. One of our editors tried it before a day trip to Botany Bay and found that, upon returning home, her bleached hair was much softer and more manageable than it would be after a typical day at the beach.

Amika Flash Instant Shine Mask

For those of us who can't faff around with sitting around the house with a hair mask in, the Amika Flash Instant Shine Mask [57] (£20) — which launches on 5 Aug. — adds intense levels of moisture and shine to your hair in just 60 seconds. Meant to be applied after shampooing and rinsed out after a minute, the deep treatment (which contains flax seed, amino acids, and sea buckthorn berry) can replace your conditioner if you have fine hair and be an extra smoothing and shine-enhancing step after conditioner if your hair is thick and dry. Oh, and like all of the brand's products, it also smells really, really good.

Azure Rescue and Repair Shampoo and Conditioner

Available at Boots this month, Azure by Planet Friendly Beauty is a new haircare line developed by Lesley Clarke, co-founder of the Nicky Clarke hair dressing empire. Comprised of 14 shampoos, conditioners, and hair styling products, every item in the Azure range is free of sulphates, parabens, and silicones. They're formulated with naturally-sourced ingredients and come in packaging made of sugarcane (which is 100% renewable) — the bottles, jars, caps, and even the labels are all 100% recyclable. The first products in the collection we're investing in? The Azure Rescue and Repair Shampoo [58] (£10) and the Azure Rescue and Repair Conditioner [59] (£10), to give our hair some much-needed TLC.

Moo Hair Sea Salt Spray

If you're looking to make your beauty routine as organic and ethical as possible, Moo Hair, a new brand out of Edinburgh, should be on your radar. A range of natural and vegan hair-care products (that neither contain animal byproducts nor tested on animals), the products are all packaged in recyclable glass bottles. While the brand has all the basics (shampoo, conditioner, hairspray, etc), summer 2020 it introduced the Moo Hair Sea Salt Spray [60] (£22), a texturising spray that contains Icelandic moss and marula oil so that it keeps strands soft and silky, even as it adds volume and beachy bends and waves.

Andrew Fitzsimmons x Primark Pink Hair Dryer

Back in February, hairstylist Andrew Fitzsimmons — best known for working very closely with the Kardashians — dropped his own product line at Primark [61], which included both care products like shampoo and conditioner and stylers such as hairspray. This month, he rounds out the range with a line of electrical tools that includes a straightener, a curling iron, and the Andrew Fitzsimmons x Primark Pink Hair Dryer [62] (£12), all of which come in his favourite pale pink hue and feature a very reasonable price tag.

Goldfaden MD Doctor's Body Dermabrasion Scrub

This month, the brand launches the body version of its bestselling Doctor's Scrub, great news if you love a fake tan (it's great as a skin prep before applying) or if you're heading to the beach this month (no matter if it's just here in the UK [63]). Like the original scrub, the Goldfaden MD Doctor's Body Dermabrasion Scrub [64] (£75) is made up of perfectly round, microfine ruby crystals that help break down and remove dead skin cells on the surface of your skin without any tearing or scratching. It also contains bamboo extract, fruit enzymes, red algae, and a probiotic blend, which together leave skin looking and feeling silky smooth.

Floral Street 100ml Eau de Parfums

Until now, you could only buy Floral Street's uniquely gorgeous scents in 50ml bottles and 10 ml travel-sized sprays. Starting this month, however, exclusively at Harrods, you can now get your favourite perfume from the sustainable British fragrance brand in a larger, 100ml size flacons. "After only two years in business we are thrilled that demand for a larger size has led us to launch our 100mls. We are finding that consumers often want three sizes of their favourite scents - 100ml for the home, 50ml for the desk, and a 10ml on-the-go travel size," Flora Street founder, Michelle Feeney, said via press release.

The Floral Street 100ml Eau de Parfums [65] (£98 each) — shown here in London Poppy — still adhere to the brand's sustainability principles, coming packaged in the same compostable, eco-friendly pulp cartons as the smaller sizes, and with the option to refill the bottle when you've finished the juice.

Jo Malone Fig & Lotus Flower Cologne

For Jo Malone London's new Lost in Wonder collection, Celine Roux (head of fragrance development for the brand), was inspired by the fabled hanging gardens of Babylon, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Obsessed with recreating the ancient spot, she not only consulted a botanical archaeologist at Oxford, but she also made a stop to the British Museum where she got a private viewing of a stone carving depicting ancient hanging gardens.

The result? Jo Malone Fig & Lotus Flower Cologne [66] (£100), which is meant to evoke the sequestered waterways of the garden. The dreamy-smelling cologne is somehow both fresh and floral at the same time, featuring notes of fig and lotus flower (which they recreated using orange blossom), grapefruit, neroli, vetiver, and white musk.

Augustinus Bader The Body Lotion

The second of Augustinus Bader's launches this month sees the brand expand its body offering to include an oil and the Augustinus Bader The Body Lotion [67] (£75), a hydrator that boasts ingredients like vitamin E and shea butter, as well as a lighter texture than original The Body Cream, making it the ideal way to keep limbs soft and smooth during the little late-summer heat wave we experienced this month.

Weleda Nature Cocoon Shower

We're big fans of Weleda's organic shower creams [68] (made with plant-derived cleansing agents) here at POPSUGAR UK, so it's only natural that we're excited that the brand is launching a new limited-edition scent specifically formulated to be calming both for your skin and for your mood. The Weleda Nature Cocoon Shower [69] (£8) contains tonka bean (which has a cinnamon-y quality), vanilla, marmalade, and sweet orange, making it a warm, comforting fragrance that you'll want to lather up with again and again.

The Organic Pharmacy Rose Body Lotion

The texture of The Organic Pharmacy Rose Body Lotion [70] (£35) is incredibly silky and lightweight, which is surprising given the INCI list is full of incredibly rich and skin-softening ingredients like aloe, coconut oil, shea butter, glycerin, and sunflower seed oil. Rose geranium oil give the lotion its pretty, delicate scent.

R&R Luxury Moisturising Hand Sanitiser

Hand sanitiser has undoubtedly become the must-have accessory of 2020 whether we like it or not. The new R&R Luxury Moisturising Hand Sanitiser [71] (£5) aims to provide you with an option that not only kills germs, but feels and smells like a luxury product. In addition to 72% alcohol, the gel also contains lemongrass essential oil (for the scent), aloe vera (for the feel and because it's soothing), and shea butter, the brand's hero ingredient that will help keep your hands soft and clean.

Frank Body Charcoal Body Scrub & Mask

The new Frank Body Charcoal Body Scrub & Mask [72] (£15) is a 2-in-1 formula that doubles as a cleansing scrub and a purifying mask for the body. Made with charcoal (obviously), caffeine, tea tree oil, milk thistle oil, and grapeseed oil, the potent-yet-gentle formula helps clear up bacne, buttne, and anywhere else you've got spots from the neck, down.

Byredo Deep Viola Eau de Parfum

Start your hunt for a new autumn fragrance early with the new Byredo Deep Viola Eau de Parfum [73] (£170), which launched exclusively at Harrods this month. The perfume centres around violets, hence the name, with the effervescent floral note sitting at the heart of the fragrance, surrounded by top notes of saffron and bergamot, and oud, vanilla, and frankincense at the bottom.

Dove Advanced Care Clean Touch Roll On Antiperspirant Deodorant

Dove's newest deodorant is inspired by skincare for your face. Using ingredients like vitamin B3, the Dove Advanced Care Clean Touch Roll On Antiperspirant Deodorant [74] (£3) helps tackle pigmentation issues and bumpy, rough patches as it tackles odour and sweat.

Sanex Zero% Shower Gel

Each of the four formulas in the Sanex Zero% Shower Gel [75] (£3 each) range is vegan, 99% biodegradable, and free of sulphates, soap-based surfactants, and colourants. There's a version for dry skin, a version for sensitive skin, a version for normal skin, and one specifically for kids.

Bamford Candied Orange Willow Diffuser

Even as lockdown measures ease, many of us are still spending a whole lot of time in our homes, which is why Bamford's decision to add two new fragrances to its collection of Willow Diffusers couldn't have come at a better time. Both scents feature notes well-known for their relaxation and de-stressing properties. The Bamford Candied Orange Willow Diffuser [76] (£58) (shown here) includes a blend of frankincense, cardamom, and candied orange, while the Bamford Lily of the Valley Willow Diffuser [77] (£58) errs on the fresher, softer side of the scent spectrum with a blend of lily of the valley, violet leaf, and amber.

Jo Loves Fig Trees Candle

Sure, we've got some really beautiful beaches here in the UK, but I think many of us can admit to dreaming of the Mediterranean this summer as travel restrictions still remain in place due. It may not bring us the balmy temperatures and turquoise waters, but the Jo Loves Fig Trees Candle [78] (£55), which is inspired by Malone's family holidays in Italy, perfectly captures the smell of ripe figs you'd find along the Mediterranean coast, along with sweet cassis and warm amber that will help bring the holiday vibes inside your home.

Sun.Day of London VII Memento Mori Candle

There has never been a better time to support small, local brands, like Hackney-based fragrance brand Sunday of London. This month, the brand's founder — fine artist Natasha Garbawi — introduces two new scented candles into the collection, including Sunday of London VII Memento Mori Candle [79] (£26), which is inspired by the scents of the sea (think salt water and driftwood) — something I'm sure we're all missing a bit of right now.

Diptyque Parfum de Voyage Travel Spray

Once it's safe to travel freely again, the new Diptyque Parfum de Voyage [80] (£90) will definitely come with us on holiday. Available in four of the brand's iconic scents — Do Son, Philosykos, Eau Rose, and Eau des Sens — the travel sprays come with a chic customisable case that comes with a bag full of letters to allow you to give your suitcase-friendly eau de parfum a personal touch.

Malin + Goetz Limited-Edition Tomato Candle

Malin + Goetz's newest candle is inspired by founders Andrew and Matthew's love of gardening and the smell of their vegetable patches in late summer. The Malin + Goetz Limited-Edition Tomato Candle [81] (£42) features a tomato note, obviously, but it also includes a mix of freshly-picked herbs (think basil, lavender, and mint leaves), as well of hints of green ivy, mandarin, and cedarwood, making this a delicious clean, green scent to fill your home with this month and beyond.

Susanne Kaufmann Holiday Kit

Even though your summer holiday may just be to the beaches in Cornwall or Wales [82], you'll still want a good set of travel-friendly beauty products to take with you. We have our eyes on the Susanne Kaufmann Holiday Kit [83] (£80), which contains miniature versions of the brand's Moisturizing Mask, Lip Balm, hand sanitising spray, Body Broad Spectrum Protection Sunscreen, After Sun Gel, Rose Water Mist, and Mask Intensive Repair Sachet. It's also a great way to try out the Austrian-based brand, or a good assortment of products to stash in your workout bag [84], now that most gyms and fitness studios have removed their toiletries and/or closed their changing areas.
