The Best New Skin Care, Makeup, and Hair Care Launching in October 2020

22/10/2020 - 03:10 PM

In recent years, the beauty industry has grown exponentially, with new launches, lines, and collaborations coming at us in rapid succession. Every casual scroll through your Instagram feed presents you with new beauty products, and let's not even get started on all those targeted ads you never asked to see. So if you're someone who loves beauty, how do you keep track of all of the latest and greatest? And more specifically, how do you know which items you can buy in the UK (without paying exorbitant shipping fees, that is)? Well, that's where we come in. Every month, we round up the most exciting launches coming to the UK, from classic brands to indie newcomers [1] and all the creams, sprays, and conditioners in between.

October 2020 is not like every other month, however. We are into our seventh month of the coronavirus pandemic, with lockdown restrictions simultaneously loosening up and being reinstated depending on where you live the UK [2]. And whilst shops, pubs, and restaurants have opened, social-distancing measures and new safety-and-sanitation regulations mean the in-store shopping experience looks and feels very different [3] than before COVID-19. Couple that with the fact that some people may still be out of work or furloughed and that high-risk individuals may need to self-isolate, and rushing out to buying new beauty products — in-store or online — probably isn't at the top of a majority of people's lists right now.

But for some people, beauty (and, by extension, beauty products) may act as a distraction or a way to maintain some semblance of normalcy right now (a phenomenon known as the "lipstick effect" [4]). And many brands — in addition to donating products to NHS workers [5] and using their production lines to make hand sanitiser [6] — are continuing to try to roll out new products for anyone who is interested or has the ability to buy. Keep reading to check out the newness — even if it's just to do some virtual window shopping from your living room.

Chanel Le Masque Anti-Pollution Vitamin Clay Mask

This month, Chanel adds three new products to its luxurious cleansing collection. The one we opened immediately? The Chanel Le Masque Anti-Pollution Vitamin Clay Mask [7] (£43), which is made from both kaolin and white clay (collection in France, of course), as well as hydrating and revitalising ingredients like maracuja extract, purple micro-algae, and marine spring water that is rich in minerals. I've been slathering this all over my face weekly to help keep the spots on my chin from rearing their ugly heads.

L'Oréal Paris Revitalift Filler HA Eye Cream For Face

The L'Oréal Paris Revitalift Filler HA Eye Cream For Face [8] (£20) (which launches this month), is actually the bestselling L'Oréal product you've never heard of. Created originally for the Asian market, a tube of L'Oréal Eye Cream For Face sells every 10 seconds globally, according to the brand. The formula was developed in response to a growing skin-care trend that saw people slathering eye cream over their entire face, due to how effective and gentle eye-cream formulas tend to be. And while a few "eye creams for face" exist in Asia, L'Oréal brought the first mass offering to market.

Exceptionally silky, the Face Cream For Eye comes out of the tube like a lightweight lotion. As you apply it, however, it melts into your skin like a (very nongreasy) balm that coddles and comforts your skin. But this hydrator doesn't just feel good. It contains an impressive list of ingredients, including hyaluronic acid (both micro and macro), caffeine, kombucha, glycerin, vitamins E and C, and something called pro-xylane, which is derived from birch trees and help amplify the effects of the HA. Our only issue? We just wish it came in a bigger tube.

Seed to Skin The Biom'Sphere Repair and Restore Overnight Serum

The Seed to Skin The Biom'Sphere Repair and Restore Overnight Serum [9] (£87) is a complex formula in a little bottle, aimed at restoring your skin's microbiome (the invisible layer of bacteria that we all have sitting atop our skin) and improving hydration. It does that with the help of several forms of pre and probiotics (many of which are from fermented plant extracts), as well as hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, aloe vera gel, and calendula flower extract — a gentle-yet-powerful anti-inflammatory

Weleda Pomegranate Firming Facial Oil

On 5 Oct, Weleda will add a new product to its pomegranate range that's specifically formulated for mature skin. The Weleda Pomegranate Firming Facial Oil [10] (£39) contains eight organic plant oils (including, you guessed it, pomegranate seed oil), which are packed with antioxidants that help increase hydration, elasticity, and firmness in the skin.

Vinter's Daughter Active Treatment Essence

The Vinter's Daughter Active Treatment Essence [11] (£210) comes with a high price tag, but it also comes with some seriously hard-working plant-based extracts that take five weeks to procure and put together. The formula, which promises to brighten and jumpstart collagen production, contains twelve nutrient-rich plants including nettle, calendula, moringa, astragalus, helichrysum, and dandelion, that are put through a 22 day cold extract process to ensure you're getting the most out of each ingredient. On top of that, the essence also contains gold-standard skin-care actives like vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, lactic acid, fruit extracts, and pre and probiotics to ensure your skin is left glowing with every use.

MZ Skin Antipollution Illuminating Eye Mask

Dr. Maryam Zamani's gold eye masks have a huge fanbase of both beauty editors and celebrities, so you can imagine how excited everyone is about the fact she's launching the MZ Skin Antipollution Illuminating Eye Mask [12] (£70 for five-pack) this month. Equally as selfie-friendly as the original, the metallic rose-gold hydrogel eye masks contain active ingredients that help negate the signs of stress and fatigue caused by environmental pollutants. In addition to a range of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory ingredients, the masks also include moisturising hyaluronic acid and soothing licorice root extract to leave your under eyes looking brighter, smoother, and less puffy after just 15 minutes.

Eau Thermale Avène Antirougeurs Unify SPF 30

This month, Avène introduces new-and-improved versions of its bes-selling Antirougeurs Soothing Cream and Emulsion, both of which are genius at calming and coddling dry, stressed, red skin (I've been using both on and off in my routine for years). Additionally, they've also added a brand-new product to the Antirougeurs range, the Eau Thermale Avène Antirougeurs Unify SPF 30 [13] (£19), a very sheer tinted moisturiser that not only helps soothe the redness in your skin, but also covers it throughout the day — although, only if you have pale, fair, or medium skin tones, as its sadly only available in one shade.

Vichy Neovadiol Rose Platinium Eyes

Your body goes through a lot of different changes during menopause, and yes, that includes your skin. The shift happening with your hormones speeds up skin ageing, which can lead to dryer, thinner, duller skin, as well as an increase in wrinkles and fine lines. This is especially true for the skin around your eyes, which is thinner and more fragile than the skin on the rest of your face. The new Vichy Neovadiol Rose Platinium Eyes [14] (£27) is specifically formulated to treat the eye area in postmenopausal women, using caffeine, plant extracts, and light-reflecting pigments to smooth and hydrate the delicate skin around your eyes, as well as soften the appearance of dark circles.

Lixirskin Peel Express

Launching on 10 Oct, the Lixirskin Peel Express [15] (£31) is a resurfacing peel and rehydrating mask in one. Packed with acids, fruit enzymes, and moisture-grabbing humectants, this hardworking formula helps leave skin feeling smoother and looking glowier, all whilst boosting hydration levels beneath the surface. Just apply all over your face, leave on for 20 minutes, and rinse off with warm water.

Pestle & Mortar Vitamin C 2-Phase Serum

The new Pestle & Mortar Vitamin C 2-Phase Serum [16] (£68) got it's name from the fact that inside the bottle are actually two separate chambers: one that contains a vitamin-C-rich water and the other a superlightweight oil. When you pump the bottle, the two separate phases mix together, meaning that the vitamin C in the serum (well, actually, there are three different forms in this formula) is in its most powerful state when applied to your skin. As for what's in the oil? That would be tamarind and pumpkin extracts, which also help to clarify and brighten your complexion.

Tropic Clear Slate Deep Cleansing Powder

Your mask giving you spots? You might want to try the new Tropic Clear Slate Deep Cleansing Powder [17] (£18), which contains loads of deep-cleaning ingredients. The powder formula (which you just mix with a few drops of water) includes two types of plant enzymes — one to break down fat-based impurities like sebum and excess oil, the other to break apart protein-based impurities (e.g. dead skin cells) — as well as volcanic ash and bamboo charcoal, both of which are really good and making your skin feel squeaky clean.

Perricone MD CCC + Ferulic Brightening Complex 20%

Perricone's new brightening antioxidant serum — the Perricone MD CCC + Ferulic Brightening Complex 20% [18] (£129) — boasts an impressive 20% vitamin C concentrate that's made up of three different types of the powerhouse ingredient: vitamin C ester, ether, and phosphate. The complex is combined with ferulic acid and phospholipids to stabilise the formula, whilst vitamin E adds a nourishing element.

Coco & Eve Sunny Honey Bronzing Face Drops

The easiest way to get your skin glowing this autumn is with the new Coco & Eve Sunny Honey Bronzing Face Drops [19] (£23). Non-comedogenic (so they won't give you spots) and full of moisturising ingredients like hyaluronic acid and virgin coconut water, the fake-tan drops not only give light and medium skin tones a bronze glow, but they also help keep it looking plump and hydrated. Add a few drop to your moisturiser and no one will know you haven't seen the beach since last year.

Indeed Labs Hydraluron Cream Cleanser

The Indeed Labs Hydraluron Cream Cleanser [20] (£20) joins the brand's best-selling Hydraluron line (which also includes a moisturiser, serum, and face mist. The new addition ensures your skin stays soft, supple, and supremely hydrated even whilst you're washing your face.

DHC Olive Concentrated Cleansing Oil

DHC's original Cleansing Oil is a classic skin-care product known for its simple-yet-effective formula. Looking out for us as we move closer to the winter months, this month, the Japanese brand will introduce a richer, more hydrating version of its famed face wash, the DHC Olive Concentrated Cleansing Oil [21] (£25), which is ideal for dry, sensitive skin types — or those of us just feeling particularly parched from chilly winds and indoor heating.

Skin Generics

Introducing Skin Generics [22], a skin care brand which just landed in the UK from Spain. The collection of products — which is divided into four categories: moisturising, brightening, anti-ageing, and cleansing — aims to offer high-potency active ingredients for the highest efficacy. The products are also cruelty-free, as well as paraben-free if that's your thing.

Huda Beauty #FauxFilter Skin Finish Foundation Stick

Huda Kattan's #FauxFilter Full Coverage Matte Foundation is exactly what is sounds like — very opaque and very matte so that it will last all day and cover everything you want it to. But not everyone is a fan of full coverage foundation, which is Kattan has released the Huda Beauty #FauxFilter Skin Finish Foundation Stick [23] (£27), which is a lightweight (and very portable) version of the formula loved by beauty editors and YouTubers alike. Like the original liquid formula, the stick fives you flawless-looking skin — but the similarities stop there. The new formula comes in 39 shades (nine more than the liquid formula) and has a stick applicator with a diamond-shaped bullet. As for the finish, it promises 10 hours of smooth, sheer coverage that can be built up to your liking. Want to know more? You can read our full review of the Foundation Stick, here [24].

Byredo Colour Sticks

Byredo's first foray into makeup — in collaboration with London-based makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench — is quite possibly one of the most exciting beauty launches of the entire year. Colourful, inclusive, and surprisingly user-friendly, the collection absolutely lives up to all of the anticipation and expectations. The range includes a defining mascara, a black liquid liner, a lip balm, a powder eye shadow palette (that comes in three colourways), lipstick (which is incredibly pigmented), and last by not least, the Byredo Colour Sticks [25] (£26 each), shown here.

The Colour Stick comes in 16 shades that either have a glossy, metallic, and glitter finish. There are bold colours like Sick Pink, Sauce, and four different gorgeous shades of blue (Kinda Blue, Purple Stinger, Ultramagnetic, and Medium Blue), an inky black (Destroyer), a few gorgeous neutrals (La Scène, Great Sands, Ancient, and Vienna, which can double as a dewy highlighter), and a few vintage-y colours that we can't wait to wear all autumn (Kumato, Sauce, and Babi). What's truly unique about the Colour Sticks, though, is that it allows you to play with unique and vivid colours in an incredibly easy way. The fact it's a stick means you just swipe it on, and the pigment has a lot of play time, meaning it's very easy to blend and diffuse — whether you prefer to use a brush or get artsy with your fingertips.

Victoria Beckham Beauty Posh Lipstick

Posh is Back! Victoria Beckham [26]'s first lipstick has arrived and it's not only inspired by the fashion designer's favourite lip colour (nude, of course), but also by her former pop-star alter ego. "It is deeply personal for me, because lipstick has always given me confidence when I needed it and extra spice when I already had it," Beckham said via press release. "Each shade is inspired by a specific memory, and whilst the moments may have been my own, the energy and emotion is shared by us all."

The Victoria Beckham Beauty Posh Lipstick [27] (£34) comes in nine shades — seven neutrals and two statement hues (check out swatches and reviews of all of them here [28] — and has one of the creamiest, most comfortable formulas we've ever put on our lips thanks to the fact that it's free of commonly found (and questionable) materials like petroleum-derived waxes and emollients, animal byproducts such as lanolin, added fragrance, and unfriendly preservatives, and is instead made from a blend of rose flower, candelilla, carnauba, and sunflower waxes, as well as rosehip, coconut, and avocado oils.

Nars Extreme Effects Eyeshadow Palette

Full of warm hues like bronze, copper, claret, and terracotta, the new 12-pan Nars Extreme Effects Eyeshadow Palette [29] (£56) is practically the colours of autumn in a compact. However, thanks to the fact that many of the colours are neutral, this gorgeous palette will definitely be of use all year long.

Bobbi Brown Precise Buffing Brush

I swore off foundation brushes years ago once I discovered the Beautyblender. However, ever since trying out the Bobbi Brown Precise Buffing Brush [30] (£37), which launched this month, it's been back to brushes for me. The shape of this buffing brush is like nothing I've ever seen before; the densely-packed bristles are formed in a slight pyramid shape that, not only helps give your foundation an airbrushed quality, but also (similar to the Beautyblender) allows you to successfully blend your foundation and concealer in tricky areas like the corners of your eyes, sides of your nose, and under your bottom lip. I can't remember the last time I was this excited about a brush before.

BareMinerals Strength & Length Serum-Infused Mascara

The new BareMinerals Strength & Length Serum-Infused Mascara [31] (£23) features a formula rich in peptides (derived from the red clover flower and minerals) that helps condition lashes and keep them silky. As for the brush, it looks more like a paddle brush than your classic cylindrical-shaped wand, and it features three different kinds of bristles. On the side that looks most like a paddle brush, there are five rows of long bristles that are spaced out enough to ensure pigment is evenly distributed along your lashes from root. The opposite side has tiny little ridges that you comb over your lashes to add fullness, while the side bristles can be used to define the tiny corner and bottom lashes.

L'Oréal Paris Air Volume Mega Mascara

With a big, fluffy brush and innovative whipped formula, L'Oréal Paris Air Volume Mega Mascara [32] (£11) seems to inflate your lashes with every coat. But even though this mascara is seriously volumising, the pigment stays soft and flexible, which means it doesn't get dry and flaky, and lashes stay lifted and curled throughout the entire day.

Kevyn Aucoin Kaleidochrome All Over Highlight Palette

With four very different shimmering hues, the Kevyn Aucoin Kaleidochrome All Over Highlight Palette [33] (£39) is great for those who love their makeup to have a lot of glow. And because the colours are quite pigmented — and extend beyond your basic champagne and rose gold — this luminising palette works on a wide variety of medium and dark skin tones.

Revlon PhotoReady Prime Plus Perfecting and Smoothing Primer

This month Revlon debuts three new primers that are jam-packed with good-for-your-skin ingredients. Choose from Brightening and Skin-Tone Evening (which contains lemon extract and vitamins C and E), Perfecting and Smoothing (which contains vitamin B5 and hyaluronic acid), and our personal favourite, the Revlon PhotoReady Prime Plus Mattifying and Pore Reducing Primer [34] (£11), which not only gives you a lovely even base on which to lay your foundation and concealer, but also contains alpha and beta hydroxy acids to help control oil production throughout the day, keeping your skin looking matte and your makeup from breaking down by lunch time.

Typology Tinted Serum

Think of the new Typology Tinted Serum [35] (£25) like the next generation of tinted moisturisers. The silicone-free formula contains good-for-your-skin ingredients like vitamin C, ssqualane, and aloe vera, but also has enough pigment to provide light coverage that has a natural, not-too-dewy/not-too-matte finish — perfect if you're someone who prefers a no-makeup makeup vibe. It's available in six shades, with a very pale shade and one that's deep enough for someone with a dark brown complexion; hopefully, they can add one more for those with deep-dark complexions in the future.

Kjaer Weis Invisible Touch Liquid Foundation

For POPSUGAR associate editor Tori Crowther, the new Kjaer Weis Invisible Touch Liquid Foundation [36] (£42) is pretty much the perfect no makeup, makeup foundation — perfect for work from home days. The coverage is light, but slightly buildable, the finish is ever so slightly luminous but not greasy-looking, and the formula is super hydrating. For the days when you want a little coverage with minimal effort, this is ideal.

Pair the invisible touch foundation with the Cream Blush [37] and you've got yourself the perfect 2 minute base. The price is definitely steep, however it's a great sustainable option and you only need a couple of drops for a full face so the bottle will last you a while. And the packaging, we have to talk about the packaging. Like other Kjaer Weis products, the outer packaging is totally plastic-free and the glass bottle deserves to be displayed because it's so beautiful.

Kiss Falscara Starter Kit

Meant to mimic the look of lash extensions, Kiss's new Falscara lashes [38] are somewhere between a cluster and a strip — what the brand calls "wisps". Each wisp is a couple millimetres long and contain about a dozen lash hairs, some of which are crisscrossed to create a more natural effect. If you buy the Kiss Falscara Starter Kit [39] (£25), you'll get one set of wisps, an applicator tool (which looks like a funky tweezer), and the Eyelash Bond & Seal, although you can buy any of those three items separately.

Essence Cosmetics Pretty Natural Hydrating Foundation

Looking for a new foundation but don't want something super spenny? The new Essence Cosmetics Pretty Natural Hydrating Foundation [40] (£5) is a moisturising, medium-coverage formula that comes in 31 shades and costs less than a fiver. And the low price point doesn't mean you end up with a formula full of nasties. The Natural Hydrating Formula is 100 percent vegan and cruelty-free, and os free of parabens, perfumes, and preservatives. What it does contain is hyaluronic acid and aloe vera to ensure your skin looks dewy all day long.

Morphe Make It Big Volumizing Mascara

Morphe partnered with influencer Daisy Marquez to create the brand's first ever mascara: the Morphe Make It Big Volumizing Mascara [41] (£12) The thickening formula paired with the hourglass brush means that each lash gets coated, resulting in incredible volume. And if you want even more volume, apply the Morphe The Big Prime Lash Primer [42] (£10) beforehand.

MAC Powerglass Plumping Lip Gloss

MAC has a long history of making really great lip glosses (I mean, Lip Glass continues to be an iconic formula decades after it launched). So expect to be wowed by the brand's newest foray into high shine: MAC Powerglass Plumping Lip Gloss [43] (£19). Available in 18 shades, high-shine, highly-pigmented lip gloss also has a slight plumping effect, thanks to ingredients like ginger, capsicum, and menthol crystals.

Lottie London Dewy Setting Spray

The Lottie London Dewy Setting Spray [44] (£9) is one part skincare — it contains rose water, niacinamide, and aloe very juice — and one part makeup setting spray (although, we've also found it's also a great way to freshen up your base throughout the day). If you prefer your face to look a bit more matte, we'd suggest sitting this one out, as it truly does a great job at giving your skin that golden hour type of glow.

Barry M Tinted That's Swell Plumping Lip Gloss

Available at Boots, the Barry M Tinted That's Swell Plumping Lip Gloss [45] (£5) now comes in four new hues: Glow Up (a cool-toned iridescent mauve), Kiki (a soft ballet pink flecked with silver glitter), Shady (a shimmering apricot), and Flex (a sheer, juicy grapefruit-pink hue (shown here)).

Charlotte Mensah Manketti Oil Hair Pomade

Top London hairstylist Charlotte Mensah [46] will add a new product to her hair-care range this month. Made to be used by anyone who has curly hair, the Charlotte Mensah Manketti Oil Hair Pomade [47] (£52) is a multipurpose styling cream that also helps hydrate dry strands. Made with rich, moisturising ingredients like shea butter and manketti oil, the pomade can be applied throughout the hair when it's wet or dry, and can be used as a leave-in before air drying, a prep for braiding or twisting, or as a finishing product that calms frizz when either smoothed through an updo, combed through strands after a blow dry, or run through curls to add definition.

Coco & Eve Miracle Hair Elixir

The Coco & Eve Miracle Hair Elixir [48] (£29) is a multi-tasking oil that can be used in a variety of ways to make your hair look and feel healthier. Made with a mix of mangosteen, papaya, prickly pear, and virgin coconut oils, you can run it through damp hair has a pre-styling prep or before you air dry, run it over dry hair to add shine and smooth frizz, or use it as an overnight treatment by applying it all throughout your hair and covering your hair with either a microfibre towel or satin bonnet before going to bed.

Floral Street x The Secret Garden Limited Edition Secret Discovery Set

In celebration of Sky Original's adaption of The Secret Garden [49], London-based sustainable fragrance brand, Floral Street, has launched a themed sampler: the Floral Street x The Secret Garden Limited Edition Secret Discovery Set [50] (£9). Inside the gorgeous envelope are five 1.5ml Floral Street fragrances for you to try — London Poppy, Wonderland Peony, Electric Rhubarb, Neon Rose, and Wild Vanilla Orchid — and we predict instantly fall in love with.

Glossier Body Hero Dry-Touch Oil Mist

We honestly really love body oil. We love how they're ridiculously hydrating, absorb quickly (at least the good ones do), and leave your limbs with a sexy sheen. The only downside? They can leave your bathroom a bloody mess. That's why Glossier's newest addition to its Body Hero range [51], the Glossier Body Hero Dry-Touch Oil Mist [52] (£24) is so genius. The grapeseed and sunflower seed oils make it supermoisturising, while the dry touch formula melts into your skin almost immediately. What sets this apart, however, is the sustainable glass bottle and convenient, faff-free spray bottle that means oil only goes where you want it to — on your skin, not all over your the bathroom sink.

Byredo Tobacco Mandarin Extrait de Parfum

Byredo's Night Veils collection is a trio of concentrated perfumes meant to applied in the evening to set the mood, whether you're getting ready for a night out, or enjoying a night in. In October, that trio becomes a quartet with the addition of Byredo Tobacco Mandarin Extrait de Parfum [53] (£235), a woody spicy citrus fragrance that, according to the brand, is inspired by the smells, sights, and sounds of Tangiers. Notes of mandarin, cumin, tobacco, leather, oud, and sandalwood make this a mysteriously complex complex eau that is so gorgeous, it's already low in stock on Space NK.

Molton Brown Juniper Jazz Bath & Shower Gel

Molton Brown is wasting no time helping us get ready for the festive season. This month, they've introduced a limited edition scent: Juniper Jazz. The fragrance is a study of contrasts, with crisp, cool notes at the top (juniper berry, metallic notes, and mint) and woodsy, warm notes at the bottom (sandalwood, musk and patchouli), a combination that truly captures everything we love about the the festive season. The limited-edition collection consists of an eau de toilet, a candle, body lotion, bauble, and (our personal favourite), the Molton Brown Juniper Jazz Bath & Shower Gel [54] (£24) that we'll be lathering up with all winter long.

Sisley Paris Velvet Nourishing Body Cream With Saffron Flowers

Inspired by the brand's Velvet Nourishing Cream for the face, the new Sisley Paris Velvet Nourishing Body Cream With Saffron Flowers [55] (£102) offers the same ultrahydrating, skin-softening results for the rest of your body. Like the original face cream, the body version also feels incredibly comforting as you slather it over your arms and legs; it also contains the same saffron flower extract that is full of good-for-your-skin antioxidants.

Chantecaille Rose Geranium and Basil Hand Sanitiser

The World Health Organisation recommends using hand sanitiser that contains at least 60 percent alcohol to effectively cleanse your skin (advice followed by the UK government). The new Chantecaille Rose Geranium and Basil Hand Sanitiser [55] (£12) contains 70 percent alcohol, which means it exceeds the WHO's minimum amount. But in addition to being effective, this formula is also quite luxurious, with its silky texture and pretty scent — certainly not necessary, but it's nice to have something you like to use when you're applying it so frequently. Additionally, this month, Chantecaille has partnered with the Magic Breakfast [56] charity to provide over 5,000 healthy and nutritious breakfasts and wrap-around support to children at risk of hunger in the UK.

Sister & Co. Rosa Hand Cream

We all have a new appreciation for hand cream this year, so it's great news that so many brands are coming out with new formulas in 2020. This month, we can't wait to add the Sister & Co. Rosa Hand Cream [57] (£16.50) to our collection. The organic and vegan formula is made from a creamy blend of shea butter, apricot oil, and coconut oil, and smells floral and citrusy thanks to essential oils like rose geranium, grapefruit, and mandarin.

Frank Body Perky Sculpting Body Hydrator

First things first, your bum doesn't really need sculpting, but if you fancy treating your booty to its own moisturiser, we love the Frank Body Perky Sculpting Body Hydrator [58] (£15), which smells of delicious coconut and vanilla. Our favourite part? Once you've scooped out and used up all the cream, simply rinse the cup out well and reuse it as a travel coffee cup.

KANKAN

Quirky and better for the planet, KANKAN is shower gel in, you guessed it, a can. Essentially it's a refillable system with significantly less plastic. The idea is that you purchase a glass bottle, which you keep forever, then buy canned refills, which can be tossed in the recycling rather than throwing plastic pouches in the bin. Infinitely recyclable, these cans are better for the environment when compared with regular plastic shower gel bottles and refills. In addition to being recyclable, the can is lighter in weight meaning it's better for shipping emissions.

In October, the company is selling the bottles with slight printing errors that didn't pass quality control and are unable to be sold regularly in a new KANKAN "Near Perfect" Starter Pack [59] (£19) — think of it as the wonky veg box of shower gel. For every £19 spent, £5 will be donated to Kids for Kids, a charity helping kids suffering in Darfur, Sudan.

This Works Stress Check Kind Hands

This Works adds two new items to its beautifully-scented Stress Check range: Stress Check Clean Hands [60] (£4) hand sanitiser, and the Stress Check Kind Hands [61] (£10) hand cream. Both products are a treat to apply and super effective — the hand gel contains 70% alcohol, while both include hyaluronic acid to keep hands as soft as possible amidst all the washing and sanitising.

Cire Trudon The Alabasters

Sure, we still have time until December, but if the next few months are anything like the rest of 2020, the festive season will be here before you know it. Luckily, beauty brands are already launching great gift ideas to add to our lists. Case in point: the Cire Trudon The Alabasters [62] (£160 each) collection. Available in three scents — Ernesto (Moroccan mint tea), Ebd El Kader (leather and tobacco), and Hérméra (coriander and pink peppercorn) — each of the Alabaster candles is housed in a jar sculpted in Spain from a single block of alabaster stone. Each vessel is completely unique and features the gold Trudon emblem. And when you've used up the candle, the best part is that you can repurpose these stylish jars in a variety of ways around the house.

Boy Smells Ash Candle

Buzzy LA candle brand Boy Smells launches in the UK this month via Space NK. And while there are currently 15 different scents to choose from, we're going to suggest the Boy Smells Ash Candle [63] (£36), which is the perfect home fragrance as we enter autumn and await the colder winter months. Housed in the brand's signature black-and-pink glass jar, the coconut-and-beeswax-blend candle smells of firewood, smoke, charcoal, palo santo, and hay, and it's sure to warm up any space in your home.

Aromatherapy Associates Rose Bath and Shower Oil

"I'm a total sucker for rose scents, particularly when it comes to bath and body products. So when the Aromatherapy Associates Rose Bath and Shower Oil [64] (£49) landed on my desk I couldn't wait to use it that evening", says POPSUGAR associate editor Tori Crowther. As part of the rose reimagined collection, the shower and bath oil contains warm damask rose combined with geranium and palmarosa, which makes a beautiful, calming scent — nothing like a traditional grandma rose scent, promise. To get the most out of the product, Aromatherapy Associates recommends applying the oil to your body before hopping into the bath or shower.

Susanne Kaufmann Balancing Room Diffuser

We all probably need a little more calming and balancing in our lives right now, and one way to add that into your life is with the new Susanne Kaufmann Balancing Room Diffuser [65] (£67). With notes of lavender, ylang ylang, patchouli, and incense, the diffuser helps to evoke a calm and inviting atmosphere to you and your guests. Aside from all of the aromatherapy benefits, this is one of the most beautiful room diffusers we've set our eyes on and it deserves to be displayed front and centre in your home. What's more, the bottle is fully recyclable.
