The Best New Hair Products Launching in June 2021

28/06/2021 - 05:20 PM

The past year has given us ample opportunity to give our hair the tender loving care it was so desperately craving. We had more time to try at-home treatments [1] and fewer reasons to style our hair, giving it a break from hot tools, bleaching, tight braids, styling products, and even excessive brushing and washing (I don't know about you, but I considered it a feat if I washed my hair twice a week). This month, however, as many of us have been able to return to our beloved hair colourists [2] and see friends again, you might once again be putting your hair through the wringer.

If that's the case, and you want to keep your hair looking and feeling as healthy as it did during lockdown, you're going to need the right care and styling products in your beauty arsenal. And that's where we come in. Every month, we round up the most exciting hair launches coming to the UK, from classic brands to indie newcomers [3] and all the creams, sprays, and conditioners in between. In June, there's a lot to look forward to, including a brand new cordless straightener from Cloud 9, the arrival of the honey-infused hair-care brand Gisou in the UK, and a new patented metal detox system from L'Oréal Professionnel that promises to prolong the life of your hair colour.

So dust off your hot tools, dig out your hairbrush, and keep reading to discover all of the new hair products launching this month.

Matrix Unbreak My Blonde Reviving Leave-In Treatment

Bleached blondes can breathe a sigh of relief with the new Matrix Unbreak My Blonde Reviving Leave-In Treatment [4] (£15.50), which was inspired by the brand's in-salon lightener that features technology to repair bonds in the hair whilst it's lifting it the pigment. The leave-in treatment not only helps repair the bonds that get damaged and weakened during the bleach process, but it also contains citric acid and coconut oil that help make strands soft and silky, not dry and brittle.

Cloud Nine The Cordless Iron Pro

This sleek-looking hot tool is the Cloud Nine The Cordless Iron Pro [5] (£349), a cord-free straightening iron that's been 10 years in the making for the brand. The heat styler weighs as much as a smartphone (so, yeah, really light), and stays fully charged for 45 minutes. Great for straightening, curling, or waving your hair, the mineral-infused ceramic plates keep a control temperature of either 160 degrees or 180 degrees.

We Are Paradoxx Moisture Express Hair Mask

We Are Paradoxx Moisture Express Hair Mask [6] (£30) is the Irish-based hair-care brand's newest launch that promises to provide your strands with a surge of hydration in just one minute. Housed in a plastic-free tin, the 99.4% natural, deep-conditioning treatment contains argan and coconut oils, as well as shea butter to leave strands shiny and soft.

Coco & Eve Super Hydration Shampoo & Cream Conditioner

Coco & Eve is known for its stellar hair mask [7], so it's no surprise that fans of the brand have been begging for a shampoo and conditioner as well. Well, after three years of development, they're finally here. The Super Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner [8] (£55) launch on 15 June, and are all about adding lots of moisture to your hair, which will help make it look smoother and shinier in the long run. And in case you were wondering, it features the same tropical coconut-and-fig fragrance as the mask.

L'Oréal Paris Elvive Purple Reviving Oil

The L'Oréal Paris Elvive Purple Reviving Oil [9] (£7) is the first leave-in oil for anti-brassiness that's available on the high street. Meant to be applied on clean, damp hair every two-to-three days, the transfer-resistant purple pigments in the oil help to neutralise any yellow or orange tones on either blonde of grey hair, leaving your strands looking bright and sparkly.

Gisou Honey Infused Hair Mask

This month, the gorgeous, honey-infused hair-care brand, Gisou, launches in the UK [10]. The entire range of products — which includes shampoo, conditioner, treatments, and stylers — is lovely and smells divine, but we're especially obsessed with the Gisou Honey Infused Hair Mask [11] (£45), which is intensely hydrating thanks to the honey (which is sourced from the founder Negin Mirsalehi's family bee garden in the Netherlands), as well as sunflower seed, castor, and coconut oils. We also appreciate the large, 250 millilitre-sized jar that really does last forever.

L'Oréal Professionnel Serie Expert Absolut Repair Oil

Made with wheat germ and rice brain oils, the L'Oréal Professionnel Serie Expert Absolut Repair Oil [12] (£21) promises to help treat a wide range of hair issues. It helps hydrate, protect, soften, detangle, smooth, repair, and add shine to dull and sensitised strands.

Dafni Muse Style & Curl Ceramic Brush

When Dafni's ceramic hair straightening brush first launched on QVC five years ago, nearly 6,000 were sold in just 16 hours according to the retailer. This month, the hot tool brand introduces the new Dafni Muse Style & Curl Ceramic Brush [13] (£87, originally £119), featuring the same patented technology, just in a narrower, rounder shape that allows you to create waves and loose curls by simply wrapping sections of hair around the back of the brush and combing it through. Ideal for short and medium length hair, it can also be used to straighten short hair — like a pixie cut, fringe, or a beard — by simply by using it like any other brush you might own.

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Joia Refreshing Dry Shampoo

We love the smell of Sol de Janeiro's delectable body creams and body sprays, which is why we're ecstatic that the brand has decided to go and launch a dry shampoo this month. The Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Joia Refreshing Dry Shampoo [14] (£24) features the Cheirosa '62 fragrance, which is the same scent used in the brand's iconic Bum Bum Cream. But this does more than make your hair smell delicious (like jasmine, vanilla, and salted caramel to be exact), it contains kaolin clay and rice starch that together help absorb excess oil on your scalp and at the roots, giving you lots and lots of volume.
