The Best New Makeup Products Launching in July 2021

The Typology Concealer (£19) is inspired by the brand's fan favourite Tinted Serums, and is similarly a makeup/skin care hybrid product. Available in six shades, the high-coverage formula contains caffeine (to address puffiness), niacinamide (for tone and texture), and cornflower hydrolate, which is a naturally-derived ingredient that helps reduce puffiness and soften the skin (the brand sells an under-eye toner centred around cornflower hydrolate). Best for using under the eyes, the Typology concealer can also cover up redness and spots.

The MAC Magic Extension Mascara (£20) may just be the closest thing you'll get to lash extensions in a tube. The volumising and lengthening formula contains five millimetre-long synthetic fibres, which are some of the longest on the market (on average, lengthening fibres in other mascaras are 1.5 or 2 millimetres long). The mascara features a cone-shaped brush that makes it easy to comb through lashes and catch every itty-bitty lash hair.

Victoria Beckham continues to expand the shade range of her best-selling Satin Kajal Liner and we thank her for it. The newest addition is the Victoria Beckham Beauty Satin Kajal Liner in Navy Noir (£22), a gorgeous midnight colour that's dark enough to define your eyes but not so bright and blue that you'd feel hesitant to wear it to the office.

The L'Oréal Paris Volume Million Lashes Balm Noir Mascara (£9) is a creamy volumising mascara with a balm-like texture that's made using mineral-based pigments, natural oils (to condition the lashes), and Pullulan, which is a new sugar polymer derived from potato and tapioca that helps with staying power. The concentrated formula is fragrance-free, ophthalmologist tested, and safe for sensitive eyes.

Makeup artist Joy Adenuga is the genius behind some of the POPSGAR team's favourite makeup brushes, like her Hey Guys Foundation Brush 002 and Big Mama Large Powder Brush 001. Well, this month, Adenuga answers our beauty prayers and is expanding with a range of eye brushes, which will be available to purchase on her website from 28 July. There will be five new brushes — 006 Liner/Brow, 007 Smudger, 008 Blender, 009 Shadow pPacer, and 010 Shadow Placer — which will be sold separately as well as in a set for £50.

The standout product in ABH's summer collection is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Bronzer (£32), which is available in seven shades — from Sun Kissed (for fair to light skin tones) to Cool Brown (for very complexions) to ensure that the range is inclusive of as many skin tones as possible. The creamy, lightweight formula gives skin a natural-looking sun-kissed effect, but can also double as a contouring product.

The Drunk Elephant O-Bloos Rosi Drops is a new staple in our summer makeup bag. The adorable little bottle houses a liquid blush that not only gives you the prettiest peachy-pink flush that makes your skin look fresh and glowy (the formula has a subtle shimmer to it that adds radiance, rather than glitter), but also helps keep skin soft and soothed, thanks to the addition of omega fatty acids in the formula. Lightweight and easy to use, all you have to do to apply it is shake the bottle and tap the liquid onto your cheeks.

This month, HIGHR Collective, the organic and carbon neutral makeup brand, added three nude lipsticks to its range, which already includes two red and three pink hues. Whilst we adore all three of the new shades (you can see our review of the entire collection here), we especially love the HIGHR Collective Lipstick in Rhapsody 21 (£22), which is a medium-toned honey brown colour. "With the return of the '90s nude in full swing, Rhapsody 21 is the ultimate modern cool-girl honey," makeup artist James Molloy told POPSUGAR (he did the makeup for the brand's campaign images). "It's brilliant as an everyday nude [lipstick] for dark warm skin tones or dabbed on fair skin tones for a deep '90s vibe."

This month, La Perla — one of the world's most famous lingerie brands — makes its first foray into beauty. La Perla Beauty is a comprehensive range encompassing fragrance, bath and body, and cosmetics; and if you're someone who loves lipstick, then get ready to add another tube to your wish list. The La Perla Matte Silk Lipstick (£47), shown here in Poppy Red, is a full-coverage vegan formula that's easy to apply and comfortable to wear, and, unsurprisingly, features a bullet embossed with a sexy lace-like pattern. The lipstick is available in eight shades that are all different iterations of red, from a taupe-tinged rose to a moody plum tone.

The Vieve Lip Dew (£17) since the day it launched. A hybrid of a lip oil and a gloss, the formula is anything but sticky, and actually makes your lips feel more hydrated after you've swiped it on your lips (and for a couple hours after, too). The sheer, champagne-coloured gloss is full of finely-milled gold and silver shimmer, and can be worn on its own or layered over your favourite lip liner or lipstick to add shine, dimension, and a hit of warmth. "I wanted to create the ultimate lip transformer that could elevate any lip colour with an irresistible gloss, as well as worn alone to provide deep hydration and fuller looking lips," makeup artist and Vieve founder, Jamie Genevive, said of the product via press release.

This month, Huda Beauty launches two extra-special shades of its Liquid Matte Lipstick. Pre-COVID, founder Huda Kattan flew two of her UK beauty advisers — one from Harrods, the other from Selfridges — to the brand's headquarters in Dubai, where they were each able to collaborate on a limited-edition colour for their respective store. The result: Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in Girl on Fire (£18), which is a medium red with pink undertones that is available exclusively at Selfridges, and Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in Queen of Sheba (£18), a cool-toned pinky nude that is available exclusively at Harrods.

Available in six easy-to-wear neutral tones, the By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra-Balm (£29) is a tinted lip balm that is not only ridiculously hydrating (it contains two different kinds of hyaluronic acid), but is also seriously pigmented. One swipe delivers a rich, opaque layer of colour that rivals any other traditional lipstick in our makeup bags.

The sun doesn't differentiate between the skin on your face and the skin on your lips, so it's important to have a lip balm that contains SPF if you're going to be outside. We recommend the new Beauty Pie Super Healthy Skin Nourishing Lip Balm SPF 30 (£25), which not only provides UVA/UVB protection, but also is seriously hydrating, thanks to ingredients like olive oil squalane and avocado and grapeseed oils.

Clinique aims to make finding your perfect red lipstick a less complicated process with the launch of its Clinique Pop Reds Lip + Cheek Lipstick (£18.50). Each shade in the range was developed to suit a wide variety of skin tones and undertones, meaning no matter which colour you pick — whether it's fiery and vibrant like Red Hot (shown here), or subtler and softer like Roses Are Red — its sure to look extremely flattering.
