I've tried more beauty products than I can count (perks of being a beauty editor), but to this day, some of my all-time favourite products have come from The Lip Bar. The Black-owned brand is known for its wealth of quality lip colours — as you'd expect with the name — but in recent years, it's expanded its lineup and created foundations, eyeshadow palettes, concealers, mascaras, and more.
While I've yet to be disappointed with any of TLB's products across the board, I've found myself being drawn more to its range of lip products. Of all the reds I've tried — and there have been a lot — The Lip Bar Vegan Matte Liquid Lipstick in Bawse Lady ($13) has to be the one that gets the most use. It's made with a formula that applies so smoothly and doesn't leave my lips feeling parched, and the deep red colour really does something to me when it comes to bringing out my inner boss b*tch. (It's so good, it even won a POPSUGAR Beauty Award this February.)

Over the years, I've learned that you need a good lip liner in your collection just as much as you need a quality lip colour. The Lip Bar Vegan Lip Liner in Straight Face ($10) is perfect for when I want to add a little base colour to my lips before going in with my lipstick, and it also keeps me from applying extra product outside the lines.
The Lip Bar Pamper Your Pout Lip Care Kit
I can't even begin to explain how many times a lip scrub has saved my lips on days when they've been rough, flaky, and chapped. The Lip Bar Pamper Your Pout Lip Care Kit ($11) in particular comes with a smoothing scrub with sugar crystals that are so fine, you barely feel like you're exfoliating. Also included in the kit is a vitamin E-infused serum that leave the lips feeling baby soft and super hydrated all day long.

The Lip Bar Vegan Matte Liquid Lipstick in Rebel ($13) is my second-favourite lip colour from the brand. I'll admit that darker lip colours (or, really, anything that's not a bright red) often make me a little nervous, but there's something sultry and fierce about this colour that makes me never want to put it down.
