While I'll never break up with eyeshadow (even if I'm hardly in public), it's been hit or miss when applying other makeup during these months at home. After all, we're still not supposed to touch our faces, and my preferred way to apply foundation, concealer, and sometimes even shadow was with nothing more than my own 10 digits.

Still, I had the chance to try out every single option in the Sephora Pro Brush Collection, and I quickly realised that maybe I was missing something by just relying on my own body parts to put on my makeup. There are 30 total brushes for face, eye, and foundation, and now that social distancing is slowly coming to an end, I've realised there are six brushes I've been using for weeks now . . . and I don't plan on quitting anytime soon.

Not only do I feel good about using them, but these incredibly soft brushes are also all vegan (and even the handles are made of wood from sustainably managed forests). Find the six versatile brushes from Sephora that I personally love ahead.

Sephora Collection Pro Foundation Brush #70

Again, as someone who often applies liquid foundation (or tinted moisturiser) with her fingers, I didn't think it was possible that I could be swayed to change with any makeup brush. However, this Sephora Collection Pro Foundation Brush #70 ($30) has such a soft top that I can easily buff in foundation for incredibly balanced coverage, and I have to admit it makes my face makeup look better.

This brush has a thicker handle that any other makeup brush I've used, so it's easy to get a good grip while working. I've had success using it with stick foundation, CC cream, and powder foundation, too — no matter the product I've tried, the densely packed bristles evenly apply makeup and don't seem to absorb extra either.

Sephora Collection Pro Bronzer Brush #80

The Sephora Collection Pro Bronzer Brush #80 ($34) is the largest brush in my collection, and it's perfect for an all-over glow. I use this to dust on luminiser or bronzer — and the big top means it easily covers a lot of surface area so the product doesn't end up cakey or blotchy.

I've also used it to apply finishing powder in the same broadly sweeping way, but it tapers into a dome-shaped top so I can still hit my high points with extra colour (of blush or bronzer), as needed.

Sephora Collection Pro Blush Brush #99

I don't often wear blush (which can seem too obviously pink on my skin), but I do frequently dab more golden-undertoned bronzer on my cheeks instead. For either of those situations, I can use this Sephora Collection Pro Blush Brush #99 ($30).

It's possible to buff out blush or bronzer with the flat tip (and I can even use one side for each product if applying both in one sitting). I also use it to set dabbed-on under-eye concealer, and it helps blend any concealer in to my foundation, too.

Sephora Collection Pro Shadow Brush #15

The reason why I like the Sephora Collection Pro Shadow Brush #15 ($20) best is because of its smaller top (compared to my other eyeshadow brushes this shape). That makes it even easier to precisely apply colour in a specific area (including eyes' inner corners) and to get in close to blur out eyeliner (on both the upper and lower lash lines) for a smoky effect.

This brush works on both powder and cream textures, and even to pack shimmery shades onto my lid without feeling like a bunch is getting trapped in the bristles, or falling elsewhere on my face.

Sephora Collection Pro Crease Brush #19

Instead using separate brushes to apply and blend shadow into eye creases, this one Sephora Collection Pro Crease Brush #19 ($20) does both. It's got a tapered tip to windshield-wipe directly in the crease, but it still has densely packed bristles to then spread and blend that colour up toward the brow, too.

Sephora Collection Pro Eye Liner Brush #22

This Sephora Collection Pro Eye Liner Brush #22 ($16) has a thin, angled tip that I use to create cat-eyes (with gel eyeliners) or a glittery line (with liquid). But, most often, I use this brush precisely line my eyes with a darker, powder shadow, both on the top and in the lower, outer corners.
