We can't confirm this, but we're almost positive more people are tuning into the Oscars red carpet tonight because they knew Billie Eilish would be there. Just in case you haven't noticed, the singer is all anyone can talk about these days; 2020 just started and she's already having a great year. Two weeks ago she swept at the Grammys, then appeared on her first Vogue cover, and now is performing alongside her brother Finneas on the Oscars stage. Of course, fans have been anticipating her arrival all weekend long and she didn't disappoint. While Eilish didn't show up in a floor-length gown — a rumour swirling on Twitter — she did arrive with one unexpected Chanel hair accessory.
Take a look at Eilish's hair evolution and you'll notice she's tried a plethora of colours and styles, including a choppy mullet and neon green roots. While her hair accessory for the evening isn't as edgy as her usual beauty choices, it is the perfect finishing touch to her head-to-toe Chanel ensemble. The pin shows off the classic Chanel double C logo as well as a multi-coloured ribbon wound through the star's loose bun. Leave it to Eilish to make a hair accessory that probably costs more than your rent the coolest fashion piece of the night. While the accessory may feel out of character for Eilish, don't worry, she still arrived with stiletto nails.
