Blake Lively is back on Instagram and already serving us some major nail art inspiration [2]. The actor attended the Michael Kors Fall-Winter 2022 New York Fashion Week show looking fresh in a powder blue three-piece suit and the subtle french manicure [3] worth adding to all your mood boards.
Lively's nail artist Elle Gerstein [4] posted an up close picture of her elevated '90s supermodel nails [5] with what Gerstein calls a "polar moon" design, giving the look a reverse french manicure feel. Gerstein used the Luxio by Akzents Gel Nail Polish in Forever [6] (£18) for the warm pastel pink base colour, and while she didn't share the polish used for the nail art, Luxio by Akzents Gel Nail Polish in Forever [7] (£18) is a milky white shade of the same line you could use to create a similar effect.
With french manicures continuing into 2022 [8] as a strong nail art trend, Lively's take feels like a subtle (yet sweet) approach that takes it to the next level. Her reverse french nail art, while simple, adds a special touch that takes the look from just a trend to an intentional style choice.
