I see a lot of new brand launches land in my inbox, but an email about a new skin-care line called Bubble that was designed for teenage skin, with the help of young people, really piqued my interest. Not just because the products made sense — they're affordable, easy to understand, and simple — but because the brand looked incredibly fun, which is exactly how skin-care should feel.
Bubble launched in November 2020 in the US with seven products — a cleanser, a makeup remover, a toner, two moisturisers, a face mask, and a face mist — all priced affordably under £20. And now, the brand has finally arrived in the UK on Boots and Beauty Bay. Not only are the products available for great prices, but Bubble has over 500 ambassadors in the UK (10,000 worldwide) who help to grow, innovate, and give feedback on the products.
The Bubble range comes in playful, brightly coloured blue, orange, pink, and green packaging but what's on the inside is even better. Bubble is plant-based, sustainable, cruelty-free, vegan, and made without harsh ingredients or chemicals. Unlike other brands that just say they're for the young and young-at-heart, Bubble genuinely enlisted the help of thousands of ambassadors to collect feedback on what they actually want out of a brand. Then, during the formulation process, they partnered with Hyram Yarbro, AKA the Instagram and TikTok-famous skin-care enthusiast behind the account Skincare By Hyram.
"Because life as a teen today is more complicated than ever — their skin-care routines shouldn't have to be," said Shai Eisenman, CEO and founder of Bubble, to me in an email.
