While some people like to match their bag to their outfit, Cardi B lets her favourite bag dictate her manicure. But not just any bag is Cardi B nail-art worthy [2]; the bag that inspired her latest mani is a red-and-purple tie-dye-print Louis Vuitton Neverfull Escale MM Rouge from the summer 2020 collection.
Cardi B has Los Angeles-based celebrity nail artist Chaun P. [3] to thank for the extralong stiletto tips. She tagged him in the caption of her post on Instagram [4] showing off her new acrylic set. "Ya like my nails? LOUIS @chaunlegend," read her post. Her fans jumped into the comments section to not only show their approval, but also to speculate on a hidden meaning behind the mani. One fan called her a Louis Vuitton brand ambassador while another said, "Cardi just tell us the tea, we know you and LV have a collab."
Chaun P. is the manicurist responsible for so many over-the-top nail looks [5], like Khloe Kardashian's hand-painted My Little Pony and many of Kylie Jenner's extralong tips [6]. He even did a similar hand-painted Louis Vuitton manicure on Malika Haqq [7] earlier this month.
