Popsugar Beauty Award Season Cardi B's Pink Hair and Makeup at the 2021 Grammys Cardi B's Rose-Gold Grammys Hair and Makeup Was Inspired by "Today's Woman" 15 March 2021 by Jessica Harrington Image Source: Getty / Kevin Winter As POPSUGAR editors, we independently select and write about stuff we love and think you'll like too. When we heard that Cardi B would be performing at the 63rd annual Grammy Awards, we knew it was going to be good, but nothing could prepare us for the production that we were treated to last night. The pink hair, the dancing, the makeup, the outfit — it was all too good. The "WAP" artist may not have been up for a Grammy this year, but we think her entire beauty look was award-worthy. Erika La' Pearl — Cardi B's go-to makeup artist — and celebrity hairstylist Tokyo Stylez worked together on her glam for the evening (talk about a dream team) and came up with the rose-gold look that complemented her outfit. "My inspiration comes from today's woman," La' Pearl told POPSUGAR. "A woman can be sexy, powerful, and confident by just being herself." The key to keeping the rapper's full face of makeup in place during that rigorous performance was the Sublime Perfection Hydrating Primer ($54). Then, she blended three shades of the Sublime Perfection Foundation ($68) to get Cardi B's perfect match and used the Sublime Perfection Concealer ($32) to hide any discoloration under the eyes. The base was set with the Sublime Perfection Setting Powder in the shade "Light Medium" and the Skin Fetish Ultra Glow Highlighter ($48) was used to give her that blinding strobe. For Cardi B's eyes, La Pearl blended together shades from the Mothership V Eyeshadow Palette in Bronze Seduction ($125) and Mothership VIII Eyeshadow Palette in Divine Rose II Collection ($125), and used the Perma PRECISION Liquid Eyeliner ($32) to draw on a sharp cat eye. La Pearl topped off the eye makeup with the Dark Star Mascara ($30) paired with Cammy Nguyen "CAM 6" Lashes ($12). Last but not least, Cardi B's lips were prepped using the Urban Skin Rx Hydrating Lip Treatment ($16), which is the secret to her lipstick looking so smooth even in the winter. La Pearl then applied the LiquiLUST Legendary Wear Matte Lipstick in Divine Nude ($30) and topped it off with a coat of the Lust Lip Gloss in Flesh Astral ($28). For her bubble gum pink hair, Stylez used the Joico Hair Colour Intensity Metallic Semi Permanent Creme Colour Pastel in Rose Gold ($15) to dye Cardi's pixie-cut wig and then styled it using the Blonde Life Brilliant Glow Brightening Oil ($24) to add shine. Although Cardi's bubble gum pink hair was just a wig, we could totally see her revisiting this colour with something a little more permanent in the future.
