Cardi B Got Some Helpful Skin-Care Advice on Twitter

If you ever have a skin-care question, just head to Twitter — that's what Cardi B did. On Jan. 25, she tweeted out to her 16.6 million followers that she was experiencing a bit of a skin-care dilemma and wanted new product recommendations. As it goes on the social media site, it didn't take long for the responses to come pouring in.

"I been breaking out lately and my face is extremely dry. I don't think these products are working. I think it's the water out here .....What are some good products for little black heads break outs and dry skin on your face?" Cardi's tweet said. Among the responses from her fans — where so many of them recommended CeraVe products, it caused the brand to start trending on the platform — came an answer from a familiar face. "Sis you need @seangarrette!!!," read a tweet from Kehlani, tagging New York City-based aesthetician Sean Garrette.

Within the hour, Nayamka, Los Angeles-based aesthetician behind the famous Twitter account LaBeautyologist, also came to the rescue. "It sounds like your skin's moisture barrier is damaged. Pretty much that means the previous products you used disrupted your skin's equilibrium. I'd recommend going back to basics with a high quality hydrating products & maybe one active ingredient to target the mild acne," her response to Cardi said.

For the record, you (yes, you too, Cardi) should always consult a professional like a dermatologist or aesthetician if you're experiencing any skin-care concerns or need advice, but as proven by the 800-plus responses thus far, skin-care Twitter can be a promising place to start.
