It Seems Like Every Celebrity Has a Beauty Brand Now — Here's Who We Hope Gets One Next

30/12/2020 - 10:45 PM

If we learned anything from the last year, it's that nearly every celebrity now has a beauty brand [1]. Jennifer Lopez's brand [2], JLo Beauty, is set to officially launch on Jan. 1, 2021 following the recent launches of other highly-anticipated brands like Pharrell Williams's Humanrace [3], Selena Gomez [4]'s Rare Beauty [5], and Alicia Keys [6]'s Soulcare [7].

Founding beauty brands has become somewhat of a trend among celebrities in recent years, and with the massive amount of success seen by stars like Rihanna [8] (Fenty Beauty) and Kylie Jenner (Kylie Cosmetics), we can only imagine that there are plenty more where those came from. 2020 was ripe with exciting new celebrity-backed beauty brands to shop from, but even with all those we have yet to explore, we still can't help but think of all the celebrities we know of who don't have beauty brands that absolutely should.

Read ahead to check out a few stars we'd love to see launch beauty brands in the next few years, and then head over here for our thoughts on some of our favourite ones [9] that are already out there.

Jordyn Woods

In the last two years, Jordyn Woods has collaborated with a handful of beauty brands to launch some of her own limited-edition products and collections: she launched a collection of affordable strip eyelashes with Eylure back in 2019, teamed up with Easilocks back in October on a range of hair extensions, and even dropped a special collection with her former friend Kylie Jenner through Kylie Cosmetics.

Now that she's been spending more time in the spotlight — and has more experience as a business owner thanks to her home workout brand, FrstPlace [10] — we could definitely see a beauty brand launch in her future.

Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Lopez [11], Pharrell Williams, Alicia Keys [12] — thankfully, this year has already given us skin-care brands from celebrities who seem to be hiding the fountain of youth in their back pockets. The only name that's missing from the aforementioned list, however, is Jennifer Aniston [13]. We don't want to be greedy or anything but think about what'd it be like to pick up on even more skin-care secrets from someone who's basically ageing in reverse. We can only imagine.

Zendaya

Zendaya [14]'s revealed in a few past Instagram posts that she's done her own makeup for a handful of red carpet events, so her beauty know-how is definitely there. She's also been the face of many a brand, so we wouldn't be surprised to see her branch out and create something of her own should she ever feel inspired to. It may not happen anytime soon — she's currently busy starring in Euphoria [15], her role in which won her her first Emmy this year — but we can absolutely see it happening in the future if things ever slow down for her.

Marsai Martin

Between going on her seventh year starring in an ABC hit comedy series (Blackish) and breaking records in Hollywood, Marsai Martin has a lot on her plate at the moment. But even with all of that, we could totally see her launching a Gen Z-focussed beauty brand, maybe with a lineup of products made specially for younger, first-time makeup users and others with little experience applying products.

Nicki Minaj

Early on in her career, Nicki Minaj was known for her over-the-top makeup looks. She's already spent the last decade dominating music, and now that she's taken a very small step back to focus on her newborn maybe it's possible that she'll pull a Rihanna [16] at some point and come out with a brand featuring products inspired by some of her past favourites.
