As of late, the hottest nail trend [4] is to match your nails to your jewellery. It's over-the-top and a bit high maintenance, but that's exactly the type of energy we want to carry with us into spring.

Joy Crookes [5], Selena Gomez [6], and Jodie Turner-Smith [7] are among the celebrities who've jumped on board the matching-jewellery nail-art trend. At the BRIT Awards [8] in February, Joy Crookes's mini-moon nail art by manicurist Roni Louise featured shades of scarlet red and baby pink, which complemented not only the red henna art along her fingers, but also the red gem details along her body jewellery harness. Then at the Sag Awards, Gomez wore green nail polish [9] by celebrity manicurist Tom Bachick [10] that perfectly mirrored the sparkly emerald ring on her middle finger. Most recently, for the Critics' Choice Awards [11], Turner-Smith, with the help of manicurist Natalie Minerva [12], wore a stunning emerald and diamond manicure on a neutral nail-polish base. The embellishments on her nails matched the gems on her rings, bracelet, and tiara, creating quite the statement look.
