In London, this past weekend was dedicated entirely to the 73rd annual EE British Academy Film Awards [1], and the celebrations started off in the chicest of ways: with a superstylish dinner thrown by Chanel and British businessman and film producer Charles Finch. The party, which has become an annual pre-BAFTA tradition, was held this year at 5 Hertford Street in London, which is a Georgian townhouse that's been transformed into a private members club in London's Mayfair.
In attendance were many of the year's 2020 BAFTAs nominees [2], including Emilia Clarke, Taron Egerton (with girlfriend Emily Thomas [3] in tow), Jessie Buckley, and Florence Pugh, as well as many other of Britain's top actors like Gwendoline Christie, Claire Foy, and Vanessa Kirby.
As you'd expect, many of the guests were dressed in head-to-toe Chanel, from their smoky shadow down to their tweed skirts. Luckily for us, Chanel gave us all the details on a few of their dreamy beauty looks.

To complement her white-and-grey tweed jacket — from Chanel's Spring/Summer 2020 ready-to-wear collection [4] — Kirby swiped on Chanel Le Rouge Crayon Jumbo Longwear Matte Lip Crayon in Rosy Wood [5] (£33), a moody antique-rose hue.

The Chanel ambassador looked positively radiant, with her complexion as glowing and golden as her sparkling slip dress. To get that glow, her makeup artist combined a multitude of complexion products from the brand, including the Baume Essentiel Golden Light and Sculpting Luminising Stick [6] (£33), Éclat Lumière Highlighter Face Pen in Beige Clair [7] (£28), Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Colour Stick Stick in Coral [8] (£35), followed by the new Éclat du Désert Limited Edition Illuminating Powder [9] (£52), which is a rosy-gold highlighting powder that's almost too beautiful to use . . . almost.

With a black leather jacket and side-swept fringe, the leading actress nominee channeled rock 'n' roll vibes for the evening. A few swipes of black mascara — Chanel Le Volume de Chanel Mascara [10] (£28) — and a dark blue manicure — Chanel Le Vernis in Bleu Trompeur [11] (£22) — completed the effect.

The Algerian-French actress and dancer's jacket was from an old Cruise collection from 2011. On her lids, however, she wore the brand-new metallic liquid eye shadow from Chanel: Ombre Première Laque in Quartz Rose [12] (£26), a gorgeous iridescent-pink hue.

The British actress donned an embroidered jacket from the brand's Paris-Salzburg Métier d'Art 2014/2015 collection for the evening, pairing it with loose, tousled waves and a soft beige lip — which was created by layering Rouge Allure Lip Colour in Rouge Angélique [13] (£31) over Le Crayon Lèvres in Beige Naturel [14] (£22) — to give the overall look a laissez-faire vibe.
