The sun has gone down on Chrishell Stause's signature golden hair. The Selling Sunset star [1] surprised viewers when she appeared at the 2021 People's Choice Awards on 7 Dec. with a dark-brown hair colour — quite the change from her usual blond highlights. In a red carpet interview with Laverne Cox, Stause said she wanted her hair, dyed by Bradley Leake [2], to match the feel of her daring Genny dress.
This also isn't the first time Stause has debuted a new look at the People's Choice Awards: for last year's show, she experimented with curtain bangs [3], writing on Instagram, "Before you start debating how much you loved/hated the bangs/fringe -I LOVED the fun change up for the night and will always do things to switch it up because doing the same thing every time is boring."
