Dani Dyer Launches 3 New Products For Vaseline With Her 3.4 Million Followers in Mind
You may initially recognise the name thanks to her actor and presenter dad, Danny Dyer. But Dani Dyer is a much-loved TV personality in her own right. She was the winner of Love Island 2018, recently wrote a book, and starred in a successful musical, so it's fair to say that she's done a lot in the past three years. This month, she ticked off another box, collaborating with Vaseline on a brand-new lip gloss range. Ahead of the launch, POPSUGAR sat down with Dyer to talk all things beauty and being a role model for her 3.4 million followers, most of whom are young.
The 24-year-old understands her influence online and doesn't take it lightly. This is exactly why Dyer wanted to create an accessible beauty product collection for her followers. "I want young girls to like it. I want everything to be fun and fresh."
The Vaseline With Love range features three products: Vaseline With Love x Glossy Lip Shot Candy Floss, Vaseline With Love x Glossy Lip Shot Tropical Sorbet, and Vaseline With Love x Sweet Cherry Satin Balm. They're all nonsticky, have a supersweet scent, and make the lips soft and glossy. The products also fit into Dyer's laid-back approach to beauty. She prefers no-makeup makeup and a messy topknot. "I'll get up and I won't even brush my hair. Just shove it up. I can't be bothered," she laughs. "But I always feel you're not done until you've gone your lips on."
What became clear while speaking to her is that above all else, she aspires to stay true to herself and her followers. Although she admitted to not always feeling confident — particularly when it comes to going out in public with no makeup on during a bad skin day: "I'd be lying if I said, 'Oh, I'm fine,'" she confesses — Dyer's positivity and honesty serves as a great reminder to her followers that self-confidence is a journey. And although a lip gloss cannot solve a terrible hair day, or skin troubles, it's one of those little things that can perk your day up.
