Demi Lovato and longtime boyfriend Max Ehrich [1] are engaged! The lovebirds shared series of photos from the beach proposal on Instagram on July 23, and they look over-the-moon happy.

Lovato was clearly ready for the occasion in a white long-sleeved dress with a monochromatic red lip and manicure moment [2]. Upon closer inspection — after you finished gazing at her stunning ring [3], that is — you can see her acrylic tips are actually jelly nails [4]. This trendy statement manicure [5] is a fun and refreshing take on your traditional engagement nails. The bright-red colour makes the nails really pop against her dress and with her ring.

Lovato got her red jelly nails done at her go-to spot, Los Angeles nail salon Nail Swag [6], and as it turns out, her manicurist had no idea what the manicure was for. "@ddlovato I HAD NO F*CKING IDEAAA these would be your engagement nails and wow I'm LOSING it over hereeee," read the caption on Nail Swag's Instagram [7] page.

"I knew I loved you the moment I met you," read Lovato's caption [8] on the photo. "It was something I can't describe to anyone who hasn't experienced it firsthand but luckily you did too."
