Ellie Goulding left everyone "Starry Eyed" with her new hair colour at the 2022 Royal Variety Performance on 1 Dec. Since bursting onto the music scene in 2010, the singer has kept her hair on the lighter side of the colour spectrum. She's tried out "cashmere blonde [1]", white ash blonde, "butterscotch blonde [2]", blonde with a pink tint [3], and even blonde with purple, but she has now officially gone to the dark side and debuted a brunette look for Christmas.

Goulding attended the event at the Royal Albert Hall with her new brunette hair kept sleek and shiny. Anastasia Stylianou [4] posted a photos of the singer on Instagram with the caption, "The brunette you never knew you needed 🤎 …". She used Redken products to dye her hair, and styled it into a middle parting used Kerarastase and kept poker straight using Dyson hair tools.

To debut her new hair, the mum-of-one [5] wore a chic black cutout Michael Kors dress. Styled by Nathan Klein [6], the asymmetric gown came complete with a thigh-high slit and cutout section at the torso. Teamed with platform ankle-strap heels, she was the height of sophistication. Makeup artist Francesca Angelina Brazzo [7] added black eyeliner and a sweep or orange-hued YSL Rouge Pur Couture The Bold Lipstick to complete the look.
