The "House of the Dragon" star debuted bright-red hair [1] at the GQ Men of the Year Awards [2] on 16 Nov., and we can't help but draw comparisons to a negroni sbagliato [3] — the cocktail they catapulted into the spotlight after a viral interview last month. The fiery hue was hard to miss as they posed for photos in an all-leather outfit alongside rumoured partner Thomas May Bailey [4]. As costar Olivia Cooke quipped in the aforementioned interview, D'Arcy looked "stunnin'" indeed.
Hairstylist Jody Taylor [5] was responsible for D'Arcy's edgy dye job, replacing the icy-blonde colour [6] they had before. A natural brunette, the actor wears a long white-blonde wig to portray Rhaenyra Targaryen [7] in "House of the Dragon" but prefers shorter styles in real life. "The word I used when explaining it was that I am almost allergic to lots of hair," they recently told British GQ [8] while discussing their onscreen wigs. Before starring in the HBO series, they had a long mullet [9] and baby bangs [10], almost like an "octopus" haircut [11].
